A lot of the time they do end up in PC format... Unless they are licenced only for one console and that's it. But the company that owns the rights to the game may feel that releasing the game on other platforms would increase revenue for that particular title. Althought sometimes the game is not as successful on the other platforms because it may have been designed with one in mind, and the conversion to others is less than satisfactory. But if the decision is made from the beginning to make the game for multiple platforms, then the end product will be much better than if the decision was made after the original game was produced and based only on popularity or revenue.
Blah blah blah. But what would i know? I only own a Nintendo 64 and that's sitting on a shelf, not doing anything. I was really best at Zelda: Ocarina of time. I loved that game! But now I mainly play PC sim PC games: The sims, age of empires, age of mythology, zoo tycoon.... I also downloaded an emulator for old snes games, but i mainly play mario bros 3 cos i used to play it when i was young and it's fun.
My sister, Dark_Phoenix, has a PS2... She owns Kingdom Hearts, HP&COS, Monkey Island (not sure the entire title) and the Eye Toy. I used to borrow a PS2 from the video store my sister worked at, and my favourite game in the world was Grand Theft Auto, then Vice City as well.
