OK. So he believes there is only power. Doesn't stop him considering that there might be more power available to him if he sticks with the good side.
Therefore someone in that mind will play both sides, until one gets taken out.
The question is whether or not he has made his choice and aligned himself with Voldemort by killing Dumbledore - or aligned himself with Harry by killing Dumbledore, thourgh some unknown reason.
I think he just did what he had to do to survive - he made the Unbreakable Vow, remember.

I think Deathly Hallows is when he will make his choice. In all this time, he hasn't made up his mind yet. That's my belief.
He has conflict inside of him...
Maybe his does see only power. But I don't believe it.
I think he can see the distinctions perfectly.
