Which is your favorite book in the series?

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

I am one of the odd ones out who found Chamber of Secrets to still be my favorite book thus far.

My favourite would have to be Order of the Pheonix. It was long, it was really funny, very exciting, and it answered A LOT of questions that I was dying to find out. Very close second would be Philosophers Stone, and then Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, and Chamber of Secrets, (only becuase I HATE Lockhart and the Creevy boys with a passion), ANNOYING!

OoTP by a mile.
I just love the teenage sarcasm and wit that JK has portrayed in Harry (a particular favourite being his taunting of Dudley in the first chapter.) Plus the magnificent departure of Fred & George would have to be one of my favourite parts.
The thing with Prisoner of Azkaban, is that it's very very very very good, but doesn't last as long as GoF and OoTP, whereas GoF is just very good, but it is very good for a long long time.
CoS, I enjoy when I'm reading it, because it is a good book, but for some reason, I just like the other ones so much more. Though I still love CoS. PS/SS, is very short, and Harry doesn't really act an amazing character. But what can you expect, it's only the first book, and he's only 11...

i really enjoyed the 5th book and the 3rd book. they were my favorites, except for sometiems the 5th book seemed a bit to rushed and the infor just didn't have time to sink in. but, it was still a great book.
