harry, romance, and fighting with ron??????

As I was thinking earlier after watching prisoner of azkaban I wondered about who would end up with whom if in fact everyone survives. Would it be hermione and ron, or hermione and harry. Now everything has pointed to ron up to this point. Its been fairly clear that there is something going on between them, but ive also been wondering if harry hasnt been sitting on the bench waiting for his turn.

He's always sticking up for hermione, and telling ron to lay off when he's really bothering her. Dont get me wrong I like ron, but they are so much the opposite in terms of personality that even if they did get together I dont think it would be for very long. They would be at each others throat.

Personally I think that one of the major things to take place in the next book is harry and rons friendship being questioned when I think hermione gets hurt while harry is trying to save her(and ron isnt there or anywhere near) and the incident makes harry or both realize what she means to him. Things happen and ron and harry basically fight over hermione which is not a good thing since they need to be united to face voldemort. Ron is or at least recently been trying to get out of harry's shadow and thats another thing that could add fuel to the fire about hermione.

JK said that harry will end up with someone he's known the last 4 books which obviously after thinking about it is three people. Hermione, Cho, and Ginny. Ginny hasnt been super important in the books so it doesnt seem like her. Cho is obvious but I think they like each other but not as much as they need to to be as close as they think they want to be. Hermione's personality matches well with harry's. And I know it will seem like ther "hero gets the girl" thing but it feels right even if it isnt extremely apparent yet. sorry bout the long message here. any thoughts???

I can´t really agree with you on two points:
Hermione and Ron do have very different personalities but my opinion is that thier bickering is due to the fact that they deny their mutual feelings.
The second point is this: Ginny HAS been important in two of the books, CoS and OotP. In CoS, well, she was the "damsel in distress" that HArry had to rescue. In OotP, her character did a 180º turn and, more importantly, Ginny and Harry have quite a lot of things in common.

Considering that this is JKR we're talking about and her forte seems to be taking s by surprise, I don't think it wise to rule out people like Lavender, Parvatti, Millicente Bulstrode, Pansy Parkinson. They aren't major players by anymeans what so ever but that doesn't put them out of the running. JKR could suddenly have one of the make a big impression on Harry and steal his little heart.

I don't think Ron will be fighting with Harry over Hermione, if anybody it will be Krum. JK said that nothing would happen between Harry and Hermione-that their relationship was strictly platonic(or something )
I think out of the poll list, Ginny is the most likely, simply out of a process of elimination; I think Harry and Cho are finished with each other. But we can't rule out Parvati or Lavender as possibilities

As much as I want HP to end up with Ginny, I think Pallas is right. We are all looking so hard at the possibility of Hermione, Cho, or Ginny, or even Luna for that matter...all obvious choices for a relationship with HP but when does JKR do anythiing obvious.

So I agree with Pallas, it will be one of the other girls that we are completely overlooking....someone quite unexpected I bet. Though, I think I'd have to rule out Millicente Bulstrode...lol!

There have been hints to this and I believe that Ginny is the one Harry will end up with. Time will tell the tale.

I don't think Harry would end up with Hermione, but it's just a feeling I have, after all, everything is possible with JKR.

From the choices given, I would choose Ginny. She's not as shy around him as she used to be and she seems to be a strong girl as well as kind and very nice. Besides, wouldn't it be great for Harry to earn a loving family (Weasleys) along with Ginny? They're everything that Dursleys are not and Harry hasn't known much love (true love, love of family) in his life so far. But for Ginny he may be only a crush, I don't know.

I very much agree with Phinea. I am most partial to HP and Ginny for multiple reasons, but that is something that I've thought and seen coming since book 2 sooo it seems almost the least likely to happen.

Though, I think I'd have to rule out Millicente Bulstrode...lol!

A couple of people have suggested, in other sections, that Harry will end up with Luna Lovegood... Don't know what to think of that. Any ideas?

I think she may become a good friend of him, but a girlfriend? I don't think they'll end together. Yes, she made him feel better after Sirius's death, she understood his loss and I think Harry likes her, but not that way. He seems to pity her a bit, therefore I think he may become a good friend of hers, maybe trying to protect her in a way, but not a boyfriend.
