Good going Nobby! How did you get them? Is it for a local cinema where you are or a London preview?

Yeah my local cinema (vue cinemas which were formally known as Warner Village Cinemas), are showing previews from the 31st of May!!!!! they have only just been released so if you have a vue cinema near you you should be able to get tickets!!!!!!!!!!

If you look it the national papers they also say in the ads that the box office is now open and that preview tickets are available!!!!

I'm not sure what gold class is, but following Nobby's advice I've checked the Vue site at http://www.myvue.com/ . If you use the cinema finder to find your local cinema, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban should show on the list of movies (in alphabetical order) on the "now booking page". Click on the PoA link to get to the film information page, and then from that page, click the "Book Now" or "Show times" page. Seems that in my local cinema the first showings are 31st May.

I'm still undecided about going to an early showing yet. Usually I wait about 3 weeks or so and go in the middle of the week when the cinema is almost empty - can choose a nice quiet seat that way, as well as avoid the huge crowds. If there's too many people crammed into one place I end up getting ever-so-slightly stressed out and almost scared...it's silly I know.

Weeeheee...(err, sorry)...just a little shout of joy as this is my 2000th post!

It's not silly at all Paul.
I will most likely do the same thing with the girls. After scvhool is out and the mad crush to the theater has subsided we will go to an early afternoon showing of the film.
Crowds make me a little nervous too. I think I mentioned somewhere that we lost Emily our first night at Disney because of the crowds. She let go of my hand for a moment and litterally got swollowed up by the crowd. So it is most definatly not silly to be a bit scared being around so many people.

I am the guy to see in the tent and three day old slept in clothing. Then I watch the movie three times the day it comes out. Same with LOTR, sad I know

 I bet you're glad this one's been released in the summer, Painballdecoy. Must have been chilly for the last two movies!

Thanks for thinking it's not silly, Alice. Yes, I remember reading about you losing Emily for a moments, and thinking that must have been terrifying for you. I guess a mobile phone may help in situations like that, but it's difficult to know what the best thing to do is, especially for younger kids as mobile phones can be the reason for people being attacked, simply to steal the phone...and young ones may not be able to understand how to use one anyway.

I don't mind crowds, but I hate when you get into the cinema and there's no seats, or not enough seats for everyone to sit together. I don't like when the person sitting behind me kicks my seat, or puts their feet on my seat. Once I went to see a movie and the guy behind me put his feet on my seat and kicked me in the head! and i got dirt in my hair from his shoes! I turned around to ask him if he could please not put his feet on my seat (he was using it as a footrest) and he told me to 'f*** off".

I used to get stressed out when our group would all wander off and we'd get split up in big crowds, but now i don't care, i just wait outside and everyone eventually joins up again. I can imagine it would be infinitely more stressful when your kids wander off in huge crowds...

BTW, i don't think it's silly that you find that scary Paul... i think it's silly that i think when i put my feet over the end of my bed someone's going to grab them! Yours is a rational fear and to do with staying safe, mine's completely irrational!

i totally agree with Paul and Alice!!! i just wanna see the film soon cos ive been waiting so long!!! i can understand about the crowds as it annoys me too when the are too many people talking in the cinema or playing with their mobiles! anyway i going with my big sis (a huge HP fan- she's also a member here), my big bro and my best mate- so i reckon it'll be cool!!!!!!

Not fair I wanna advance screening tickets tooo!!!!! ^-^ They are giving them away on all this radio stations - but to I dont have luck with winning them.>_<

Crowds - I like them and I hate them. I had the same situation as Fierce, some teenagers were sitting behind me and kicking my seat - only for me they stopped after I turned around and barked at them (lol, i must have had a very murderous look on my face too... ) But sometimes its a lot of fun, like people dress up and everyone laughes and gets scared at the same time ^-^

The best viewing of a Harry Potter movie I had was at first Midnight :) - best crowd!!!!!

Haha...Mint, they probably saw your chicken patronus that's why they freaked out!

Hmmm I doubt I could get any preview tickets as in the first to be screened where there will be artistes and interviews done! But I am not interested about them...I am more interested in the PoA freebies...lol what if they give hogwarts robes! I'm crazy.

But nevermind, I can always settle for the next best thing...and that's to watch PoA on the 3rd of June provided I'm free on that day!
*makes a mental note to make sure no one bothers me on that day*
Mwuahahaha, I am a day earlier!!!
*evil laughter continues*

The approximate running time for PoA is 141 minutes.
I believe this is shorter than both SS and CoS. That means I don't have to go toilet during the movie if I don't eat the popcorn combo.
Arhhh, and one thing, I probably can't get any seat on the release day. :(
