Have you got any Pets?

Postby Mr3d » Thursday 29 April 2004 5:37:50pm

My cat got three small cats at last!

The first one was nearly dead when we found it, but seems to like living, although it did not gain any weight in the 1st 24h.
The second one was born with the eyes open :o (strange; don't know if it could be a problem) and eats the whole day. It's the biggest one.
The last one came so fast we didn't noticed it at the first moment. It has got white ears.

I've got some pictures here: (hope they'll work)

Any suggestions how could I name them?

And you, do you have pets?

P.S.: For those, who do not like cats: I hated them, but after having one (the mother, Silver, a very calm "exotic persa", who liked to play - not one of these "I'll-stay-where-you-put-me"-cat (boring!)) and then four more, I began liking them!

I grew up with pets, I used to have a guinea pig and three dogs. My mum has one dog (the other two died  ), but I don't live there. I wanted a couple of cats a few months ago, but found out we're not allowed to because our landlord doesn't want pets in the flat. :(

I would love a pet, but I'd never get one if I don't have enough time. Especially dogs need a lot of attention, and when you work you just can't give them what they need.

Are your kittens boys or/and girls? We wanted to get two and name them Sodom & Gomorrha  . But there's a few websites with pet names, just use google.

I have a male cat named Asterix. Today is his birthday, he got 7 :cat: And I have a rabbit, Frodolin. His name used to be "Fridolin", but Frodolin sounds a lot groovier

I have always had pets - fish, cats, rabbits, a guinea pig (I don't want to have a guinea pig again, though - poor Willi bit himself to death :( ) and we even raised two wild ducks once.

Cute pictures.

I have cats. Two of them. I would prefer not to own dogs but my kids keep trying to get me to give in.

The last cat that died was called Gandalf (yes it's from LOTR) my husband got him to replace his cat TC who died. TC stood for Thomas Covenant. I guy who had leporsy in the "real" world but was perfectly healthy in this other fantasy world that he was able to visit.

Bill (my hubby) thought of Merlin because more people would know that name but I told him if he liked Gandalf better ten use it, and look it became a really big movie. (of course this was 12 yrs. ago.)

Our youngest addition to the family is named Arwen (yes it's from LOTR) but the girls picked out the name that time!

Our older cat is called Missy. I think Emily named her.

I used to have two fishes... They died after jumping out of the water where they were.
Then I had a hamster called Mickey (I had 7). He has a disease in his feet and died ... I cryed all the night that day!!! I had 10!

Now I don't have any pet cause I feel I don't quite have the time to take care of pets. But I would most want a dog. I'd like to have a dog!!!

I´ve got two cats, one of them, who is 10 yrs old, is fat and really grumpy, but she is (always as been) really independent so we don´t see much of her except at mealtimes  . The other one is about 1 and a half years old and is a lot more friendly, but she (yep, also a she) eats too much for what is healthy for her so she is always miaowing for food, which is really irritating. The big cat we call Cat because we couldn´t think of a name when we got her and now she only reacts to that... The little cat is called Kushka, which means "cat" is russian (according to a website I visited), so I can´t be credited with much imagination when it come to these things :-?

Poor Joto! *hugs Joto*

I've never had any pets cause my parents never allowed me ($%&/#*!!!!) and I don't like cats (although your pics are really cute and kittens are really cute - I just don't like cats). I LOVE dogs and as soon as I leave my parents apartment I'm going to buy myself one!!! And a rabbit!!!!! They'll see! Ha!

And the names : how about Won? ( :D ) My cat I'd call ... I don't know.. I never thought about that. But I will! And when I think of something I'll post it here

something tells me goldfishes doesn't survive that long
But there were three most memorable ones...I caught them in a japanese summer festival where you scooped the fish using a paper scooper(?)
And they died within a few days.. :-?

Oooooh, I had two chicks as pets (not ducklings) when I was little.

I've always wanted a cat. But I was never allowed to have one. Even now, we're not allowed to keep pets in our apartment. My aunt has 2 cats and I'm in love with them both. If I could, I would kidnap her cats and take them home with me. :evil grin:

As we live in a big family house with a garden, we have quite lot of pets. Well, it's two dogs - Satan (no, he's not named after the devil, but after a Slovak ice-hockey player, Miroslav Satan) and Max, then three cats - Muro, Cilly and Mica and finally one parrot Eddie (or Edmund when he's disobedient). We used to have more cats, but somehow they left us, only Gina visits from time to time.

This is my cute little Mica: http://www.boomspeed.com/wildeanne/cicusik_bambino.jpg

Now I remembered... poor Eddie, he hasn't been fed for days! *hurries out*

yep, my family loves pets. Currently we have two dogs (a collie called Tess and a papillon called Paddy, Paddy is mine), one cat called Rosie and 3 guinea pigs called Kenco, Ringo and Harry

But we have had many more, the ones I can remember in my lifetime being 3 more dogs, one of them was Penny the poodle, my first pet, 2 more guinea pigs, numerous goldfish including one called Goldie that really wanted to be a whale, a parrot, 3 more cats, a total of 3 rabbits, and I had a hamster called H. But my parents had many other cats, dogs and rabbits before that.....

Currently we have two cats living in our house. Dinna is my cat. he's a ginger tom and he's about 3 years old. People is my sister's cat, he is white with a beige striped tail and he has blue eyes, though he's not deaf like most white cats with blue eyes. We usually just call them DeeDee and PeePee. Cats are supposed to respond better to names that end with an "Eee" sound, but i think we just call them that because it's easier ^_^

My little sister is staying with us at the moment because mum has gone away for the weekend. Her kitten also came to stay. He was a christmas present from me. he is black and white, and his full name is Tippy Two, but we all just call him Tee Tee. (my little sister wants me to add in that he has a pink nose and he can open doors by himself).

We also have, at the family home where my dad lives, two cats. One is sort of a beige/champagne colour, and she's called Mother. The little black one is called Baby. They are norwegian forest cats, so they are sort of fluffy and look like they have beards  . Baby is Mother's baby, obviously. Mother's name was Astro before she became a mother. She had six kittens behind the couch in my old room, Paris, Israel, Stripe, Checkerboard, Stupid, and one that was dead before it was born. Israel was the only one that survived, and she became Baby.

We also had a rabbit called lofty, chickens called Mitsubishi, Toyota and Six, rats called Ellie, Sailor, and Lilly, Dwarf rabbits called Thai, Thumper and the name of mine i can't remember... We had mice, budgies, various native animals we had to nurse back to health... and one easter, when my sister and i lived in a townhouse with a tough maori guy, we bought him baby chickens. He called them Zion and Aloha. Unfortunately they got too big for our little tiny patch of grass (which they annihilated) and had to go home. They ended up living across the road from our old family home and they became Lauren and Cassie. Which is my sister and I.

I'm sure there have been more, but those are the only ones i can really remember...

Aw man, I so have all yall beat. Here's all my animals:

4 dogs: Pepper is a beagle and the first animal we ever had, Smokey is a white mutt(looks like a labrador but pure white), Archie-basset hound, Molly-a stray mutt I picked up out of the middle of the street a week ago.

3 cats: I also hated cats, but they're all kittens and I found them in a parking lot inside a paint can. They're names are Dobby, Winky, and Cheeks. (lol my mom named them she's obsessed with hp too  )

I don't even know how many rabbits we have, we have this giant cage thing outside that's their house. We started with 2 rabbits then 8 then after that I've lost count and I just have colored a piece of each of their ears with a marker and named them by the color on each rabbits ear. Like "blue" or "fuscia"
2 Chinchillas: They're kind of like rabbit-sized gerbils. They're the sweetest things in the world, they're names are Rory and Buffy.

1 African Parrot: It's my mom's I guess because she has whole entire conversations with her. Weird eh? Her name is Kiwi. (the parrot, not my mom :-) )
And we have 2 cockateil's. They're just a little smaller than Kiwi is and they can talk too! It's really annoying when they all get together and repeat each other. They're names are Roxy and Jack. But I dunno if they're boys are girls

Finally, there's my baby potbellied pig, Lucy. She's sooo cute and so sweet. And she bosses all the dogs around.

Oh and I have like 40 zillion fish. I swear, the fishtank is huge!!! its like 5 feet long!! My dad takes care of the fish, they're his favorite. It's like the Times Square of fish tanks. It's so crowded in there.
Anyways, that's all my pets and I defy anyone to say they have more than I do!

Guess what we had a goldfish that the kids got at the carnival you know in a plastic bag full of water.
That darned thing lived for two years!
We couldn't believe it, I had to keep buying fish food.

We had a funeral when Goldie did finally bite the dust.
