I don't think the books specify whether Fred or George is older.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Me either. Maybe one day, she'll put it in one of the books or something.

I think Fred's older because they are always reffered to as "Fred and George" and never "George and Fred". On the other hand, they might be mentioned in that order because that's how it would be alphabetically. There's really no way to be sure.

what if not even mrs weasly doesn't know? i mean maybe she just gave birth to them and since they looked just the same she couldn't tell which was first  . and she named one fred and one george.though i wonder how did she tell them appart in the first few years(or at least till they learned their own names and could be sure one is fred and one is george)? did she tag them or something?

Well first off, Fred and George just sounds catchier than George and Fred.....

and I'm with you guys. I think that Fred is older because...well......he just strikes me as the older one.....*shrugs* go figure

Anyways, as for the telling apart thing...maybe Mrs. Weasley put a spell on them that turned one pink and one blue?

And this people, has been a look into the twighlight zone2(aka my brain)
