In Your Head...

Since I saw the movie before reading the books, main characters are like those in the movie. However, I imagined Sirus to be much diffrent (more handsome) and somehow Lupin in my head was wolf-like and also more handsome.
For Moody, I feel like I hear his wooden leg when he's walking and I've envisioned his eye to move all around his head (funny), so I'll probably be disappointed when GoF movie comes out.
Voldemort, on the other hand, is more like faceless for me. In GoF, I just can't envision him.

I pictured people from the movie because I saw the SS movie before reading the books. As I was reading about Sirius I pictured Aragorn not who ever they picked for the movie.

I've heard this from other people too. How do the others here envision him? I'm quite curious about it. As for me, I've got a picture of him in my mind and strangely he doesn't look that bad (I try to imagine him snake-like, but somehow I can't). Some days ago I saw a picture of Clint Eastwood in newspaper and wow, he looks a lot like my Voldemort.

I always happens. I've read first book before watching the film so I had my own portraits of all heroes. I was absolutely disappointed in this movie. But now my portraits are degrading and becaming more and more similar with the actors.

I don't think I could even try to decribe how I picture Voldemort... I don't see him with a flesh tone, he's more of a light grey/dark grey scabby thing... He has the general features of a human body, but there's just something not quite human about it, too

It's like a movie in my head, and I'm there too, I only don't excist in the story . The characters are almost real. I almost see it that the character popping out my head!

Yeah, I see it as a movie, too... I know, though, that I've gotton too into Harry Potter when Harry, Ron and Hermione all start showing up in my dreams...

A very lively movie ...

I see locations in detail and they're very different - much darker than in the movies.

As for persons, I deffinitelly do see their faces - I could be their stylist + visagist --> I'd make much different Trelawney, Emmy Thompson is far too exagerated. Snape's good, Rickman makes huge effect with his minimalism, he barely moves his lips and still gives the movie a character I've always liked Emma Thopmpson but she's too young for Trelawney and her hairstyle sucks, her glasses too
It's funny that I know at least 2 women who'd be perfect for that role Both very skinny, loads of jewellery, confused, weird, professors, ...

sometimes i picture faces. other times i associate a character with some other person or character i know of. like in PS/SS for some reason I pictured Hermione to be like the Margaret of Dennis the Menace

but after watching the movie, i naturally recall the actor or actress's face as the character's while reading later books.

i was disappointed with Sirius, Molly Weasley, and the second Dumbledore so far in the movies
