eecckk...class rings...never got one of those things. I always thought they were rather stupid. Mostly Class Rings are as a remembrance of High School and your class. Most are ingraved with one's year of graduation (ie mine would have been ingraved with 2004 and since TDM will graduate in two years his has 2006 on his). They also have the symbol of the school on it. I am asuming a BullDog is a symbol for TDM's school, and mine would have had a thunder cloud and lightning bolt on it if I would have gotten one. I suppose the basic reason for them is a since of belonging. Being in a graduating class of high school (and university) is kind of like joining a club. Everyone is supposed to be really proud of being a part of a graduating class and having a ring to prove that you are in the class of 200? is kinda like a membership ring. It also proves as a rememberance of the high school years, and pretty much another reason is so boys have something to give their girlfriends to show that they are going steady together. Dumb I know.

Devinci...I agree all the stupid senior stuff is totally insane. Who really wants a senior pair of pajamas? Honestly after this june no one is going to care we were seniors this year...hehe

Class ring? We never had that. However, we have Class T- shirt, whereby the students, usually those artistic ones, would design them and wear it during saturday classes (the only time we get to enter the school without wearing a full set of school uniform)

Lol, I have loads of class t-shirts, but I hardly wear them outside. I don't want the whole street to know my name!!! (since I had one, that's like a jersey with my name and class no.)

I'm a (high school) sophmore and I know we have class rings available, but am not sure where to get them and how much it costs, but it must be a lot considering yearbooks are $70.
As for other important rings... my grandma gave me this pretty gold ring with some kind of blue stone in it; I got it for my confirmation. It's purtyful. My other important ring is The One Ring; it came with the LotR monopoly game I got last Xmas. The gold paint is starting to chip and I'm not invisible when wearing it, but it's awesome cause it's mine... my own... my preciousss. :devilish grin:

LOL @ morningstar's 'preciousss'

My school, as far as I'm aware, didn't have rings for when you graduate. But then again, I didn't graduate (I was sick & had a breakdown) so i'm not the best source of info on that one.

I don't know if it's different in Australia, or if it's because my school was private and maybe state schools get rings...

y'know, it kinda reminds me of the simpsons when homer joined the stonecutters and they had special rings. Does your ring mean you get free soda? that'd be coooooooool :D

well, no sadly, we don't get free pop. dang school...won't give us free pop...grr...anyway, but, yeah, they can be somewhat expensive. mine was about $180 us dollars. however, a girl in my class had a 300 one, and yet another one was only 100. so, it varies.

wow...I didn't get one because I was cheap and was saving my money for my study in France. However I was thinking about getting the ubercheap one, at 50 dollars. That was still too much for me, so I gave it up. I never wear non-junk jewelry any how so I didn't see a point.
