if she doesn't JKR is one horrible book-tease...I mean putting a real-life prophet in the story who only has two prophecies...it would be awful if we didn't see another glimpse into the future

But Trelawney wouldn't have been here for nothing, that prophesy she made is the basis of the entire series! She's averaging one prophesy every 15 years or so... I don't think she's got another one in her that we'll hear in the next few books... her prophesy story has been told...

JKR surprises us every minute of her stories...so I wonder if she doesn't have a BIGGER plan for Trelawney as she is a real live prophet and all...I mean how many stories have those? On a strictly literary sense such a tool as a prophet creates a situation where an author can add info to a story with being completely believeable...kinda like how readers believe info coming from Hermione or DD rather than from Colin Creevey or Snape.

i'm starting to like trelawny. and i think with firenze also teaching divination, she'll do a decent job. I imagine that she'll teach out of the book, which is something that she's done all along, and firenze will do the technical part because ... well ... she doesnt know how to!
