I saw in the paper a couple of day ago that it was almost defnately confirmed that Sir Michael Gambon was going to take the part of Dumbledore in the next film.

The third film is already in production, i heard in on radio, yesterday as they had problems with a fire on some grass land near to where they were filming the train scenes.

I think that Ian McKellen, would be a good Dumbledor, but I am use to seeing him in Lord of the Rings, but that doesn't mean I don't want him in Harry Potter. Hey, just because he would be in another series of movies doesn't mean anything. He is an actor and as an actor you have to get signed to diffrent movies. You can't stick to just one movie forever. You don't see Brad Pitt sticking to only one movie.

Christopher Lee
becuase he is all so a great actor and was all so great in LotR and again makeup!!! He can wear makeup in HP he all so played a wizard but bad. I think that it is his turn to play a good wizard!!!!!!!

Sean Connery
beause he is also a great actor i loved him in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He has a nice deep voice and his so cool!!!!!

All of this men would be great and i love the movie with one of them or none of them it the movie that matters not the actors. But 1 of them would be great and they are one of the actors that made me want to take a job in acting. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

err, you know, its already finalised that Michael Gambon is the new Dumbledore, I've seen the trailor for the next movie with the Dumbledore already in and I have to say it didn't register till after the trailor that it was a different Dumbledore, he was brilliant, definately couldnt really tell the change from the trailor....

he is also signed up for the fourth Harry Potter movie too it seems....

I know this is an old thread and that Gambon is definately Dumbledore, but I'm gonna post anyway

I was pregnant with my first son when the first Harry Potter movie and the first LOTR came out, and I know I must have asked my husband (a huge LOTR fan) a jillion times if the actor who played Gandalf was the same who played Dumbledore. :-D

I saw the trailer for the third movie, and Gambon seems like he'll make a great Dumbledore (I was skeptical at first), and the only notable difference I saw was the hair. His beard is shorter and bushier than Harris's Dumbledore. :-)

I saw the trailer at the theatre and I also say that I didn't notice the difference between Harris and Gambon, and from what I saw I think he'll be a good DD

looks wise i couldn't tell the difference. I was worried about Michael Gambon taking on this role as I wasn't convinced he would be able to pull it off. But what i saw in the trailer was good, and I think Gambon will finish off the series!

I don't really know what Gambon is like as an actor! does anyone else? The only film i've seen him in is Gosford Park, and an episode of Top Gear on the BBC!!
