Dobby and Golem

Postby Athena Appleton » Saturday 14 February 2004 12:16:54am

Hey, I don't know if y'all ever saw the MTV awards when Golem won as best cgi character or whatever, but he refers to Dobby in it. It's hilarious (if you can handle lots of "beep beeping").

To get to it on the Two Towers movie, on the first DVD disc, go to Chapter Selection, chapter 30 and press down. There's an Easter egg that lets you see the acceptance speech, and Golem has a few somethings to say about Dobby. heeheehee!

i know this is more of a LOTR post, but since it refers to Dobby, I thought you guys would like seeing it.

it's on the extended version... when Golem says as Smeagel "Dobby is our friend" and then Golem (as Golem) has a few... ummm... "choice words" to say about Dobby... it's hilarious! I missed the Dobby reference, my husband had to tell me that he said that Dobby is his friend, and I finally caught the joke.

The name is "Gollum" a.k.a. "Smeagol"! A Golem is another fantasy figure.

I'm sorry, didn't mean to offend you or anything. It's just that, if I make a spelling mistake like that, I'd want someone to point it out. But if you wanna keep your spelling I will stop doing that, to make you happy!

BIG HUG to be friends again :)

lol, well, fluffy bear mentioned it in another thread, so i'll just stick to calling him "the weird mostly-naked dude in LOTR", deal? :-) My husband's the big LOTR fan in our family, I'm more along for the ride. I was doing good to remember that his name sounds like smeegle (I said "sounds like" so the obvious spelling mistake is okay)

we're cool

so, have you seen what i'm talking about, though?

Hey, I don't know if it'll make a difference, but are you in the US? Todd told me there's a difference in the DVD structure of the US DVD's and International DVD's. I'm in Texas.

lol, sorry again Athena. This might have something to do with me being a speech therapist, so I can't stand mistakes like that. No offence meant.
