harry's grandparents

Hi, i just found this site today and i must say, i love it. i've read soem theories and one really intrigued me. A lot of people metioned something about LV related to lily. what are the age differences between lily and LV. could he be lily's father? we have not heard anything about harry's grandparents yet or have we?

Also, if someone has already mentioned this, i apologize.

Sorry...I really like that theory better than that of a Lily/Voldie relationship. After all, a rumour says that a dark secret will be revealed about Lily. She's said to be a muggle born, but that doesn't necessarily have to be true. About the age...let's see:
JKR said Snape's about 35 in the first book, so Lily would have the same age...but the HP lexicon says they're both born in 1960...hm. Tom Riddle left Hogwarts in 1945 and disappeared until he returned 1970 as Lord Voldemort...so, somewhere in between, when he most likely wasn't that much human anymore, he must have fathered Lily...not very likely, I think

ok, but do we know much about his grandparents? we know that petunia was jealous of her sister because her parents were proud of lily. were they wizards (unlikely?) any thoughts

My theory is Lily and Petunia's parents were not wizards, but they were squibs.

I have been thinking that they have to be squib's (lillies parents) or at least one of them (because squibs are rare) which mean that they (like ms figg) might have contact with the wizzarding world I think Dudley has had some experience with the wizzarding world (Dementers made him remember horrible stuff, while he is meant to have been pampered) so maybe it is through them

Snape called her a mudblood.
so, how could ever LV ne Lilly's father??

well, maybe LV isn't lily's father but maybe one of the followers of LV is her father and she isn't pure blood but a mudblood like the mother is a muggle.sorry if this is a bit confusing.

my guess is that Lily is infact the first witch in a family of a LOOOOOONG line of Squibs. I mean sometimes, even though it might be rare, that rare hereditary things can occur in blood lines of families. The family might have been so squibbed out that they no longer were a true member of wizarding society, and probably cast out into the muggle world. My guess is that if the long line of squibs is true, then probably only one side of her family is squib and the other muggle...causing her to be part of the muggle world, creating the Mudblood term and also the fierce pride from Lily's parent(s).

That would be WIERD hehehe ... but who knows. it could also be something like Lily had been in Slytherin and gon out with Snape for a while (DONT KILL ME YET!!! ITS ONLY A THEORY!!!!).

i heard somewhere that Tom Riddle LV's father may have remarried and had lily and petunia. Perhaps this could be the relationship between Lily and LV?
Just a rumour i heard! What does anyone else think?

Could be wrong, but doesn't Dumbledore say that Tom Riddle (Lord Voldything) is the last heir of Slytherin? Tom's dad (Tom) was living with his folks after he left Tom and his mom, so I think it's unlikely he had any other kiddos.
I think their parents were squibs, Petunia grew up knowing the magical world but resented it so much because she was a squib and married Vernon (I doubt she would really have remembered something about James mentioning Azkaban to Lily in passing), and Lily was the one they were so proud of because she was a witch. In Book 2, Filch reveals that he is a squib, and that's supposedly the reason Mrs. Norris was attacked. So Snape would have called her "Mudblood." Squibs aren't all that respected by people who are hung up on pure blood.

I can't wait to find out this "dark secret" about Lily. My guess is that it is linked to hers and Harry's eye colour. Does anyone remember how Tom Riddle was described in CoS when harry entered the diary - did he have green eyes?
