Book 6's Release

Postby Ginny Malfoy » Tuesday 30 December 2003 2:05:41am

Going on what I've read about the books and the movies either being released in June or November, and since we know movie #3 is coming out June 2004 and movie #4 is predicted to come out in November 2005, would it be fair to predict that book 6 will be released either November 2004 or June 2005?

Is it even fair to hope?

I also remember reading that book 6 is going to be substantially shorter than book 5, so I'm thinking it's possible it could be roughly this time next year or a year and a half from now. I can't wait to read book 6! Even though we might get book 6 a lot sooner than we got book 5, I bet we'll have to wait forever for book 7!

Does anyone have any definites as to when book 6 will be out?

I dont have any definates about when the release date will be, but i do think that it will be late 2004 or v.early 2005. i think that there was a LOT of detail in book 5 which would have took jk a lot of time to work out and put in before book 6 without giving aways its plot. whereas with book 6 it is very much set up, therefore JK can worry about the main plot instead of small details

I read somewhere that Book 6 is supposed to be two volumes, which leads me to believe that the release date would be much farther awat than late next year! But, like most of the other information we have on Book 6, it's probably pure rumor. If I were to say that Book 6 is really three volumes with numerous appendices, I wonder how long it would take for that information to circulate around the internet?!

oh Blaise, I have mixed feelings. How wonderful it would be if book 6 could be 2 volumes, but oh the wait would kill! I'd heard book 6 would be short and as much as I want it to come out quickly, I'd hate to be done with it in a day...I much prefer a nice thick volume! LOL

and yes, 3 volumes with appendices is a great rumour in my opinion. hahaha

That would be sooooo cool! April or May? Just so soon?

*Crosses fingers, hoping these rumour to be true*

But just like every rumour, it's just that, a rumour..

In all honesty, I can't see how they would ever release the book in April or May when a movie release is in June. Even if the book was ready for release that soon, I think it's unlikely they would release it mere months prior to a movie...they would hold back until winter in all likelihood.

I think it's realistic that it could come out next winter though. The bottom line is money. They wouldn't release both in the same timeframe because it wouldn't be lucritive to do so. Just my opinion...a whole 2 cents worth :-)

I still feel it's possible that book 6 could be out by November 2004 or June 2005. I'd prefer the former, but it may be the latter, because I would assume movie #3 would be out on DVD around November 2004. But who knows? Based on reading that book 6 would be a shorter book, I am thinking that book 6 will come out BEFORE 3 years time, but that we'll have to wait forever for book 7 after getting book 6. Still, as someone pointed out, the wait's not nearly as long as it could be...

oooh...wouldn't it be nice to have the book come out in April???? I mean it would be just in time for my 18th birthday!!!! Of course I know that the money would drive it to be coming out in the winter or fall, but it wouldn't be bad...I mean I am a senior in high school now, and when book 4 came out I was in the 9th grade, I mean I had to wait a long time, and I suppose I can contiue waiting until I am a freshman in college (or eekk...even later???)

i really hope it is sooner rather than later, and i hope it is pretty long, i don't know about volumes, but i think that a round thousand sounds good, but most of all i just want to read it, even if it is only say 700 pages

I really hope it comes out at the beginning of the summer like OotP did. It would give huge profits, a movie and a book at the same time, ahhh bliss. If this did happen I would probably die, but not without reading the book and watching the movie
