I really have thought about that part too...and I think that this is another thing that does not fit! In my opinion, the memory of his father shouting at his mother while he is crying in the corner is much more personal than the one he actually tried to hide. Why didn't he hide them as well? Itwould only explain the whole thing to me if there was more to the memory in the pensieve than we know by now. But then, why did he hide it that obviously, in front of Harry's eyes?? He could have just locked them in the pensieve a minute or so before Harry arrived. Or at least, he could have locked the pensieve away. But no, he almost invited Harry to walk around in his most private and harmful memories....
That doesn't make sense, and I refuse to believe that JKR wrote that just for the sake of getting the story going.

Yeah, there definately has to be more about the pensive inthe next story! I can't wait to find out more stuff about Snape, and why he is the way he is! I thinkt hat it's all very facinating! he's a very interesting character, so full of hidden meanings and ulterier motives!!!!

This idea just came up now...
While in the Occlumency lessons, Snape saw something in Harry's mind he didn't remember at the moment (I can't remember what is it, but I think it's with Marge...). What if Snape had been so angry with his father that he forgot that situations and that's way he didn't put that in the pensieve.

But when Harry saw his mind, he remembered that... What do you think?

Do you know what I wondered? Why didn´t Dumbledore give Harry a pensieve - so he could have emptied his thoughts into that every evening before going to bed. :???:

Well, would probably have been a boring story then.

hrmm, I'm not realyl sure how Harry having a pensive would have helped the situation...

I think that when Snape was telling Harry to empty all thoughts and close his mind (whatever) it was more an excercise in conrtolling him mind, if you get my meaning... Like when you do stupid eye exercises to make your controll of them stronger.

Am I making any sense at all??? :???:
