As I read book 5, I couldn't help but feel that the counter-organization to Dumbledore's Army was the Inquistional Squad...now, I know some have said that Umbridge wasn't evil...rather, she was power-hungry and fanatical...still...
Is Umbridge really gone?
And what of the 'Inquistional Squad' which, "coincidentally" happened to be comprised purely of Slytherins?
It seems that the houses are mirroring what happened when the four founders were alive...with the three houses/founders (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw) getting along and the one house/founder resisting the other three (Slytherin). Could the Slytherin "Inquistional Squad" morph into a "Dark Arts Squad" in the next two books?
These Slytherins were all too eager to help Umbridge
, but as stated before, she wasn't really evil...just obsessed with power...taking 'doing the right thing' to such an absurd degree it bordered on evil. Draco, the ringleader of the 'Inquistional Squad' seems hellbent on evening the score with Harry...will Draco design a new group with the purpose of learning the dark arts in an attempt to help the Death-Eaters and Voldemort take revenge/kill Harry and mudbloods and half-breeds and such?
Also, although I know Slytherin has to have prefects like everyone else, if Draco forms such a group (as well as simply the fact that Slytherin prefects joined the 'Inquistional Squad' of Umbridge's), will Draco and Pansy be allowed to be prefects again? I'm pretty sure Dumbledore's Army will stay in tact, but I wonder if a counter-organization, headed up by the Slytherins (if they didn't already use the Inquistional Squad to hatch plots), would get the Slytherins thrown out of school?
What did you think of the Inquistional Squad, do you think it will resurface in future books (or as something else), and what do you think this group of students (all Slytherins) will do as opposed to Dumbledore's Army?
And to throw another log on the fire...what will Snape do about this, as he is a loyal member of the Order...or is he?
