hmmmm, i wonder.

Percy always follows "the rules" so from one hand he may be still under Fudge, but he may still look very suspeciously at Dumbledore. He definitely won't appologize to his parents and will hate Harry for the rest of his life...

And from the other hand he is perfect to be Voldies follower.....

No, Percy has not changed, but my opinion of him has. At first I thought he was a joke. Now I pity him.

True Eol, but Percy won't mean it...and who knows he might not apologize because he will probably still feel that one's loyality should lie with the government and not a school headmaster...he will still stand up for that dumb Fudge, and claim that Fudge knew best...I can just see it happening...whether it happens or not is another story...

Dumbledore

Postby Elektra » Monday 11 August 2003 11:42:38am

I am a bit disappointed by Dumbledore, leaving Harry alone and ignoring him, just because he fears "Voldie" could harm him by using Harry. So why not giving him Occlumency lessons right from the start?
Snape: I like him a lot more since the movies came out, because I like the actor. But definitely, he should have taken the Occlumency lessons a lot more serious... Liked the chapter about Snapes worst memory.

Harry doesn't believe that being able to read Voldy's thoughts is a bad thing and Snape didn't do a good enough job of convincing him. Anyway, I seriously doubt that even if Harry worked hard at occlumency that he would've stopped Voldy from entering his mind. Perhaps he could have delayed it, but nothing more

my opinion of Ginny has changed most. before book 5 she was just Ron's kid sister who had a crush on Harry. now her character is developing more, and you realize that she's not that much younger than the trio. only one year, which really doesn't make a very big difference. she's becoming a very cool girl. before she was a nuisance, now she's a good addition to the plot!

I agree with...well, quite a few people, Ginny changed the most in my, honest opinion. She went from being, in my little world, this young and innocent girl who's shadowed by her more prominant character brother Ron. But in the fifth book, she really showed herself as a...confident girl. It made me extremly happy...Girl power *spice girls pose* 8)

Ginny developed beautifully. In a book where a lot of the main characters are male (harry, ron, LV, DD, fudge, the weasley boys, neville etc) there is only one strong female character, Hermione (IMO). Even Hermione has a few of the female stereotypes like being over emotional etc...but the story lacks that really cool, kick butt girl that brings an extra umph to the story...and in the words of the Weasley twins "Small things can be pretty powerful, just look at Ginny and her hexes"...Ginny seems to be growing in to this wise, powerful, confident girl who will probably have a more front running roll. She has definetly changed from the whimpering, pale, quiet girl we met in books 1-4, into the strong, lively, daring, opinionated girl we have in book 5! And that's exactly why I think she and Harry are meant to be because honestly, can we see Harry with the damsel-in-distress type of girl (ie Parvati or Lavender for an example???)? I don't think so. Harry is a strong character and he needs some one just as strong to put him in his place, and that person is Ginny!

My vote went to Neville.

Actually, I always thought he was strong (deep inside, of course :D ). But when I read about DA meetings, his actings in DoM... Well, I just realise that the strength just started to go up. I think he was one of the characters that most changed. To my pleasure :) ...

He is (and always was) one of my favourites.

However, I also thought about James (who hasn't) and Percy. james came to be known as a bad guy... He did what he wanted and wasn't ashamed of that. What he did to Snape was AWFUL (see my post on Snape here: http://www.broomsticksandowls.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=46552).

Percy just went further than i thought he would go...

And about all the other characters. I think some of them have also changed. Ginny is more mature, Hermione and Ron too. Harry has also changed, cause he experienced a lot of thing in the end of the 4th book.

:) ~Just wonder about ev'rything... It's good to your mind~ :)

My opinion has changed most of Percy. I never liked him much, but I found his behaviour shocking! My opinion of him would change even more if it turned out my dubious theory about him spying for the order was true

In my opinion, Harry himself has changed the most. Now, he can really be a brat from time to time...hehe
