Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

Inconsistencies in the Books

Postby Holly Golightly » Tuesday 17 June 2003 3:36:03am

Okies, so I was reading over GoF again, (well, all the books actually, in anticipation for OOTP) and I noticed this again, and thought that I'd mention is here...

GoF at the World Cup (p71) wrote:'You're not the first one who's had trouble with money,' said Mr Roberts, scrutinising Mr Weasley closely. 'I had two try and pay me with great gold coins the size of hubcaps ten minutes go.'

Am I the only one who thought that the coins were normally sized...
This has always struck me as strange, and a possible mistake when I read over it... :???:

What does anyone else think?

I think it's possible and even probable that those 'two' were foreigners. It's possible that thay have huge coins abroad. I've always had the impression that British wizarding coins were about 'normal sized'.

The plastic things that go inside tires to hide the nasty looking steel if you don't have alloys.
