the problem is some avatars are too big and an indicator wouldn't fit in the box w/out making it increadibly huge. good idea though!

How about Paul getting a fader?

Gryffindor: red/gold
Sytherin: green/silver

not sure about Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, kinda sad, don't know about my own house.

FT, what do you mean by a fader? Oh our house colours are blue/black I think. At least, I'm certain about blue.

Half an year has passed since the last post in this thread.

However, I was thinking to post this suggestion, when I saw this particular thread!

I think the colour code would be great. However, if you imagine, in terms of interface and graphics... red would seem strange, because it's above blue interface. Green wouldn't be soo cool too. I have always thought a simple word, maybe before the number of posts, saying weather the person was Guest, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff (or Paul... lol) would help!

From what I understand I'm reasonably certain that the much-awaited big upgrade of the board (phpBB 2.2) will have a way that will enable the House a member is in to be displayed.

Really looking forward to it - so many extra features to play with. :-)

That's a very good question. It's been eagerly awaited for almost 2 years now. The first expectations or hopes were for around Christmas 2003 but the phpBB people who are creating the new version of the forum software never actually give any dates of releases. Basically their concept is that it'll be ready when they've got it completely done. It seems to be looking like they're nearly there but, taking into consideration that it's already been so long-awaited, I've no idea whether it'll be before this coming winter.
