cast for Sirius

I've just read that Gary Oldman signed up to play Sirius Black in the next two HP movies.

At first, I didn't think it was such a great idea, but the foto at the top of this site convinced me

Gary Oldman is a terrific actor...I really hope they get him as Black, he'd do an amazing job, I'm thinking.

Now they'd better get Ewan McGregor to play Remus Lupin. Grrr...

I don't think Ewan McGregor would fit. Of course he'd do a great job, but as Gary Oldman and Alan Rickman are both older, he's simply too young.

I don't think he's too young, maybe they could make him up and make him look older, thinner and tired like J.K.Rowling describes him.

I'm happy that Gary Oldman will play Sirius! He's a great actor!

They won't have a problem making McGregor look old i reckon, he looked much 30sumfin' in Attack of the Clones.

Only problem now is that they might think that he's too americanized, which is what kept a lot of actors from getting roles in the previous HP films (except maybe John Cleese )

Gary Oldman is a terrific actor...but somehow it let me down to see him cast. I always saw Sirius and Lupin as just, sexy characters. They're actions make them very, gritty yet very beautiful at the same time. I wanted someone just as amazing looking as acting. But, I can't say I'm thumbs down yet, they've done amazing things with costuming...who knows, Gary Oldman could be the next Brad Pitt

I didnt think they were that good looking, Sirus and Lupin, well...maybe lupin, but not sirus....gary oldman would bee a good sirus....ewan mcgregor i dont think is in the cast though....

When Harry is looking at a picture of his dad's wedding, he sees Sirius in the picture. Rowling describes him as having a 'handsome face, full of laughter', or something like that. So, I think he is handsome. Or was, anyway.

Sooooooo, what did everybody thinked about Sirius from the trailer? Do u think G.Oldman was good for this role?

I personally didnt' like him in a poster...It said in the book that he looked like he was attractive before Azkaban and it also i think said he had this vampire-look...(or may be Im halucinating lol) So I pictured him a bit different.....

He looked much better in the Azkaban scene though...

i think he looks pretty good as sirius... there wasn't too much of him in the trailer so i guess we can't really know for sure.

The trailer is so faster, I can't even recognise Gary Oldman from there...
But I believe Gary is a good choice for Sirius, Gary did looked sinister in Airforce One right? He is one that can have a evil look and a kind look...
