Harry question...

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

I agree with you choki. The prophecy clearly states that either Harry of Voldemort must eventually be killed by the other one. And something will always come and save Harry from dying.

It must be horrible for Harry, when you think of it. He must either murder of be murdered. Not exactly great news ... But I wonder if Harry is even capable of murder. Like Crouck Jr (fake Moody) said, even if the whole class pointed their wands at him and said 'Avada Kedavra' he wouldn't get as much as a nose bleed. I wonder how will Harry kill Voldemort then, he can't exacly go around practising the Killing Curse, now can he?

OK, In the book when Dumbledore was dueling with Voldemort he defeats him and then Voldemort request him to kill him but Dumbledore says there are worse things than death? So what happened to Voldemort, was it similar to what happened to him when he attacked Harry?

Think what would happen if only Harry could kill Voldemort, Voldemort could walk right into the MoM and kill everybody without being hurt. But somehow he can. This is very confusing :???:

Just because no one else can Kill Voldie doesn't mean that they couldn't stop him from hurting people. However, I think the prophecy is saying that these two, Voldie and Harry, are going to have to face each other. There will always be something that stops Harry from being killed by the death eaters, for example. Mr. Malfoy had an easy opportunity to kill Harry at the DoM, but he didn't because he needed something from HArry, and if he had killed him, or even hurt him, the prophecy would have been destroyed. Likewise, Dumbledore didn't bother to try and kill Voldie, because he knew that the prophecy wouldn't allow it. But here's the twist; If DD hadn't known what the prophecy had said, about Voldie and Harry having to kill one another, would DD have tried to kill Voldie? And if so, then maybe DD might have actually killed him!! SO the prophecy really depends on who hears it! Because if that one spy hadn't heard the prophecy the first time, then Voldie wouldn't have tried to kill Harry, and harry wouldn't be marked as his equal, and the reign of terror might still be going on.

Sorry for my ramblings; if they didn't make anysense, don't bother commenting on them...they're kinda out there...

no, they so make sense, a lot of sense. what you are saying (in a nut shell) is that no matter what something, being anything including the prophesy itself, will prevent either harry or voldy from dying untill they face each other. it really makes perfect sense i think.

Yup that is what the prophecy meant...i didn't think abt why DD didn't kill Voldy when he had the chance...and now i knew the reason why...so all mysteries of the prophecy solved

sort of "peace and love interpretation" because i can't stand the idea of harry using the AK curse, since he has already played with a unforgivable curse.
DD tells him that Vmort could'nt stand possessing him at the end of the story, because harry loved and was loved. so I think the spell that will kill Vmort could be a sort of pure love spell since the AK must be a pure loathing spell
anyway "flower power" forever man !
