I really really really like PoA, but i must say that when I read GoF i liked it more. there just seemed to be abit more action, and those last few chapters definitley were the most exciting ones I've read in all the HP books.

yeah, they are a bit darker as well, and you get the idea that Harry is growing up.

yeah.... the books are getting progressively more serious, i mean Harry is 15 now and I'm glad the same things that happened to him when he was 11 aren't happening to him now... a 15 yr. old can handle more and it is very appropriate for the seriousness/darkness level to rise. (if that makes any sense lol)

Yes it does. I really like that, I mean the first four books, Harry grows but it seems that we readers didn0t notice too much that, but now that we had to wait more, we realize, wow he is 15, what will happen to him.

Well, that certainly happened with me, because I read the first four all together! And now that I've had to wait for like 2 years...

My favorite book is the PA. I love the way that the first time you read it it seems to say one thing but when you read it the second time you notice things you hadn't before and the whole plot seems different!

I liked book 4 cause' it was dark and kind of sufisticated . I always read the books over and over again, and I love it whan I forget some details, (wich happens the most on book 4),than I can remember them again.
(no I don't have a very sick obsession)...

I've said this somewhere else on this Forum, but what the heck, I'll say it again! :D

My fave book is PoA, book #3. Of all the books, including #5, it breaks the formula . . . there is no face-down with Voldemort right before the end of school, just in time for spring break. You find out about Harry's parents' past and their friends; you learn about dementors, the Maruaders' map, and Hogsmeade; and as Stardust said, reading it the first time is so suspenseful, and then on re-reads, you learn things you didn't know before! Also, Lupin is one of my favorite characters . . . I love his relationship with Harry and how he teaches the DADA class. I really enjoyed book 5, and will, no doubt, read it over again several times, but book 3 edges it out and remains my fave.

well out of the 5 books, i prefered the three last ones (third, fourth and fifth.) but if you tell me to chose the BEST. i'd choose the Fifth. We got to know more about certain characters and the change harry has in connection with You-know-who. and some of his parents' past.

Book 3 for me too. The reason? Everything Lizzy said. :P

---> Too lazy to type out all the different reasons, especially since Lizzy had done such a good job of it. ^_~

Thanks, June! I believe I started a thread in the Book 5 Discussion area about how you felt about the 5th book after reading it . . . for all those who have not voted (and have read book 5), please go there and do! :D
