A slightly twisted, but not impossible theory.

Hi!

While reading the 4 books, I found a very striking returning feature. Every time again the story seems to go in a certain direction, and then at the end it all turns out exactly the other way. Especially the way Harry sees his fellow characters; people he trusted all the way turn out to be among Voldemort's most faithful followers (Moody), and others he feared appeared to be OK after all (Sirius).
Furthermore, there seems to be a structure in the books of features that return on different scales, like a sort of cyclic story. Probably it's not quite clear what I mean by that, but I don't know any other way to describe it.
Anyway, what I'm getting at is this: could it be possible that JK is going to apply the system of making-things-turn-out-other-ways-than-you-would-expect to the whole HP-series? Maybe Harry is afraid of people all the way who in the end turn out to be OK, and he trusts people who turn out to be thoroughly evil. Maybe Dumbledore is exactly that what everybody thinks Voldemort is; an evil guy who kills innocent people. And then Voldemort could be a good wizard. OK, I know he killed lots of people, but that is not nessecarily evil, think of the allied soldiers in the 2nd World War; they killed people, but they did it for a good cause.
Well, I know this may all be a bit far-fetched, but I thought it's just an interesting theory and I would like to know what you think of it.

well, it's not totally far-fetched.i think u make a great point.because the traitors always end up being close to harry.so it's not totally imposible.i think it's a great theory!

The way the books go is very strange. I mean, in book 1, I bet everyone suspected Snape... I was extremely surprised to find out it was Quirrell all along. And thanks to that and to the fact that all the DADA teachers leave, I keep suspecting THEM. I thought forsure Lockheart was behind all the trouble in CoS. Turns out to be that damn diary, Ginny and Tom Riddle. The books keep surprising me, I can't even begin to guess what J.K Rowling will do next. And there is still so much we don't know about the main characters. Who'd have ever guessed that Scabbers was actually a person. Peter Pettigrew! You go through 3 books of thinking he's just a useless rat, and then we find out he's an animagi! And how did the Weasleys end up with him, anyway? J.K. Rowling is a GENIUS! I think the pattern is one surprise after another!

Victor has a point- dumbledore- This may not be anything, or this maybe for good, but *ahem* here's a quote :

Oh, come on! I don't think he can turn evil. He is just too archetypical character. No. I read on another board that this look can be explained by the fact that Voldie took Harry's blood and thus made himself human and therefore mortal.
