I was thinking, what if Voldemort betrayed Snape, and that's why he became good.

Well, he could have promised Snape something, which he later didn't accomplish, like not killing someone, maybe Snape's love.

i seem to like the idea of snape loving lily. I mean, love is a pretty powerful thing. he was not liked in school and voldy gave him the power and "love" he thought he wanted. however, he might have been blinded in spite because he was vexed with james getting lily, even though he felt james to be a royal jerk. So after being with the dark side because of jealousy (a dark sin as there ever was) he might have realized that LV would not spare his true love's life. I mean LV did attack Lily and James three times before killing them accidentally in his murder attemp of Harry. They were in a secret keeper's trust. Its kinda like when Russia and Germany signed a non-aggression pact, and then Germany invaded Russia and then mass murdered their people and even killed Stalin's son in a death camp...obviously Russia was poed and joined the allies. I think LV promised not to hurt Lily is Snape joined. He promised to give him the honor and power that he craved so the Lily would bounce in to his arms, and forget "that potter". However, after awhile I'm sure Snape realized that LV was breaking his promise and that the power he was promised was mared he saw the light and went back to DD>

WOW!!!!!! go you for thinking this up...i like the whole snape/lilly story anyway and i definatly think that theres a possiblity that snape had a crush on her, maybe when voldie killed her it kinda showed snape the light ya know and it would make an EXCELLENT plot twist!!!
