I don't see Fred of George as captains, too much responsability, no?

and yes choki, we will certainly have a lot of time to think about theories for book six

Oh goodness. The wait for the sixth and seventh books are going to be horrendous! I'll probably be upwards of twenty by the time they're published...

Me too; I think we will have to wait around 2007.

Lol, we'd be those creepy old people who show up at all of the kiddie HP events...

Anyway, I've been thiking about that part about Harry finding a door. I remember an interview where JK was asked what room she would visit in Hogwarts. She replied by saying that she'd visit a room that has been mentioned and that will play a major roll in the later books. I'll look up the exact quote later, but I think that that room is a definite possibility.

And sadly, I'd have to join the "old people's club" with both of you, Neo and Blaise!

I wonder what room has been mentioned that would play a major role that Harry has not been in as of yet. Any ideas? I haven't read this entire thread, so maybe it's already been discussed. I'm racking my brain, and I can't think of what room she means! And all of you who said the wait for books 6 and 7 will be horrendous, I whole-heartedly agree!! At least the third movie will be coming out a year from now, that'll help somewhat! :-) Still, it will be a long wait . . . I have a feeling I'll be reading book 5 several times . . . and at least, it'll be fun to have a new book to analyze up and down here!

Found it!

Q: If you could travel to Hogwarts for an hour, what would you do there?
A: Go straight into a certain room, mentioned in book four which has certain magical properties Harry hasn't discovered yet!

Allright, it doesn't say it'll be important, but just the way the answer was phrased makes me think that this room will appear again. Will now go rifle thorugh Book 4 and scrutinize over every room mentioned.

Lol, and then after we over-analyze Book 5, we have the first four to analyze yet again!

I think that room is exactly Harry's dorm. I mean surely the dorms could have magical powers, and Harry hasn't never seen one in that room.

And yeah, with the info from the fifth book, we will have to analyze the five of them as unity.

Looks like I already am one of those creepy old people... ;)

Also, I'm still liking the dorm idea! It seems very coincenental that it's circular, and so it the toom onthe cover withthe doors.... :circling:

Yeah, but it's so...unmysterious. It would be kind of a let-down if Harry were to find the secret to his past under his bed. It's possible, but I think it'll be a much more mystical place.

Aw, and you're not one of the creepy old people, Holly! If you were a forty year-old man living in a trailer who showed up at all the HP events, then I might be right in classifying you as a 'creepy old person.' ;)

Hrmm, thanks... I think!!! ;)

It is a little unmysterious, as you so nicely put it, but them... maybe it's something like he can only enter the doors in his dreams... or something like that!

Then I'm one of those creepy men you are talking about.
(Okay, no; I'm still underage, but just for 3 more months)

But maybe the mystic apperas when the magic takes action in the room; or maybe in the dorm is only the door that will take him to another room that is exactly the same, but with a lot of doors.

You've got to be kidding me that you are almost 40 Neo??? :o

Yeah, that might be the single door down a hallway that he sees in his dream... :D

Almost fifty

I'm not quite sure if the room can look lik a corridor, but maybe the door from the dorm takes to the corridor, which takes to the other room.

Doen't the summary say that he sees a door at the end of a hallway?? so maybe that door takes him to the circular room with allthe otehr doors???

Ooh, you're right! I think it did say he saw a door at the end of a hallway, meaning that that door and the doors on the cover are completely different things!

I still think that the room on the cover has something to do with the room that JK mentioned. I've been looking and have been unable to find anything about a specific, mysterious room. Lol, is a v. difficult thing to search for!
