Thanks for answering my questions, Sonkem! :) That helps a lot! :D

Hmmmmm . . . interesting what you had to say about the houses. Am I correct in assuming this is a "young" forum . . . by that I mean that the majority of posters are 16 and younger?

Well, sanity is boring  and as Seal sang in his song "Crazy", "you're never going to survive unless you get a little crazy", which I agree with. :) Having a sense of humor and fun is always good. Although, I do, as I believe evidenced by my posts, tend to have a serious/thoughtful side, not to mention, I'm not as old as Paul  , but older than most of the members here (it seems--I could be wrong! :-) ), so I hope that doesn't mean I'm on the "wrong forum" full stop. :-?

I'll have to give it some thought . . . thanks again for the help, Sonkem! :)

Actually......the craziest people here are 17 and up :) Why? Cause this is the only place that allowes such craziness. Im 23

I know what you are saying about not knowing who is from what house...I had the same problem when I was choosing a house. :(

once you've chosen a house to be in, how do you get permission to go into the common room?

Just give him a day or two :D Once you come back to this forum and its gonna say that you are in Slytherin - you are done :)

Sorry for the delay, violet high but i'm pleased to say you're now sorted and have access to the Slytherin Common Room. :)

Those hungry Slytherins, Crabbe and Goyle
what do they in their cauldrons boil?
Is it a potion they're trying to make?
Oh no, it's a huge chocolate cake!
:)

There will be a way in the next day or two for everyone to see exactly who is in each House.

I *think* I'm starting to get an idea (based, primarily, on who I know is in that house--not that other people aren't lovely!!! ) where I'd like to be, but Paul, where will this list of members for each house be posted? I'd definitely want to check that before making a decision. :) I'm looking forward to being sorted, and hopefully, wherever I go, I won't get black-balled! Nothing like getting ejected from the house you chose . . . sheesh! I'm just messing about...if I could be in all four houses, I would be! :D Luckily, no matter what I choose, I can always post with everyone all over the rest of the Forum. :-)

Personality wise I think I could fit into either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw - but I think today I shall choose Hufflepuff :)

Once I've got it all done, the details will be accessible from the Usergroups link (at the top right of the page). I'm aiming to get it fully done today - although there's some programming modification required to get things exactly the way I want, so it may take until tomorrow if there are unforseen problems. :-)

Platiquehomme, pleased to sort you into Hufflepuff. Have a great time there :)

The Hufflepuff common room fireplace is fine
to warm cold hufflepuffs at winter time
but don't let platiquehomme get too near
or the heat may melt him away, I fear.

This has simply been nerve-wracking for me! The whole 'you can never change your mind' bit has me in quite a tizzy, but I'm ready to take the plunge (I think! ). Although, if I could, I would *gladly* be a member of EVERY house  , I think I will request to be sorted into the following House:

Ravenclaw.

My primary reason because Paul felt I'd 'fit in' there, given my posts and my personality (thanks Paul, that was quite a compliement you gave me about my being intelligent and thoughtful :D ), and my secondary reason being I enjoy two Ravenclaws' posts in particular: Holly Golightly's (what a fab username! :D ) and Boycey's (his theories are always interesting and make me laugh! ). :-)

Hopefully, I've made the right choice, will NOT get black-balled  , and can still be friends with all the rest of you NOT in Ravenclaw. :-) There are so many of you I like who aren't Ravenclaws: Paul, Sonkem, Mint, Plastiquehomme, Neo, violet high, Blaise Zabini, and really, EVERYONE! Please don't take offense if I didn't mention you personally . . . you are all fantastic . . . thanks for being so patient with me! :D Hoping to feel at home in Ravenclaw!

P.S.--Ravenclaw, in the books, has always fascinated me as a House...except for Cho (who we don't know well), we really haven't gotten a lot of exposure to that House (unlike Gryffndor and Slytherin, obviously, and even Hufflepuff in books 2 and 4). I really like that Ravenclaws are known as intelligent, wise, and thoughtful! :D
