There are too many discrepancies...for the way I understood it, Peter didn't know Voldie had survived for quite a long time...also I think that no DE would have dared to visit the place where their master had just died...too many aurors around!

Well, I also agree with Mint and Siana on this one! I dont' think that it was Peter who picked up the wand...

I actually can't see why it wasn't destroyed??? But anyways, obviously it wasnt'...

Also, I was under the impression too that Sirius and Peter met a few days after Voldie killed Harry's parents...>?

Okay, here is me theory; Voldemort almost died, lost his body and let his wand in the house that was destroyed, Sirius went the next day and tried to kill Peter, but Peter escaped as a rat and had to leave his wand there so everyone tjought he was really dead, so now he needed a wand, and knew Voldemort's was in the house, went there and pick it up; and later when he founds Voldemort he still uses his wand, since Voldemort can't use it, and when he puts the robes to Voldemort puts the wand in the pocket.

peter is supposed to have tracked sirius down and confronted him....that suggests time delay....but i agree with the wands thing...that could be possible because peter would need a wand but how is someone who is meant to be dead supposed to get a wand....but then again in the...ah...i forget what its called....fight with voldemort the spells that come out of the wand are the hand, cedric, the man, bertha jorkins and then straight onto lily and james suggesting that the wand has not been used in the time between book 4 and voldemort using it otherwise the spells would have come out like the hand did....and its had 13 years to be used...so whoever had it must have been saving it

hmmm. if peter did pick up the wand then he would have had to store it somewhere all the time while he stayed with the weasleys. ohhh this is soo annoying!!

the same place as macgonagall keeps her wand when she transforms into a cat....in their wand pocket or whatever it is they usually carry them round in....

I like it... I think that he picked up the wand, after he confronted Sirius (which was the next day I found in the book) and then turned into the rat again (so it was safely kept where McGonagalls robes go) and then used only once to kill Cedric, which is why he came out of the want too (remember, Voldie told Peter to kill him...)!

Naturally he couldn't ahve used it while he was with the Weasleys, since he was a rat, and it he changed back to Peter, he would ahve stood a big risk of getting caught (since there were what, 9 or so of them running round the house!!!)

So yeah, I like the theory!!!
