Harry Potter Schoolbooks: Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find T

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

Hey again, I just realized that there is no topic about these books, so I posted one (as you can see ) Do any of you have these books? What did you think of them?

I thought they were both really cool; it's a nice touch to have companion books to Harry Potter, and it's especially cool that [b:sq5mpri3]Quidditch Through the Ages[/b:sq5mpri3] is mentioned in HP and the Philosopher's Stone. (Speaking of which, why does is the American version called HP and the Sorceror's Stone? I'm annoyed by that because it gives me the feeling that the publishers just decided that we don't undertsand the word "philosopher")

I think I like [b:sq5mpri3]Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them[/b:sq5mpri3] a bit better than the other. I just love how all these mythical beass that we've aready heard of are included in it, as well as some of J.K. Rowling's own creations. I also think that the scribbled noted by Harry and Ron are so funny...

I own both of those books, but I wasn't overly-impressed with either of them. They were all right; however, I was expecting a bit more in [i:2czk7mbf]Quidditch[/i:2czk7mbf]. I also enjoyed the comments made in [i:2czk7mbf]Beasts[/i:2czk7mbf], and found it more entertaining than the other.

By the way, the American publishers decided to alter the title of the first book because they didn't think that the word "philosopher" was intriguing enough and that American audiences wouldn't read the book as a result.

Truthfully, I did expect these books to be longer, and was surpised to see that they were so thin, but they're fun for a short read and I have a little something more to hold me over until Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is released... <sigh>

Oh, well that explanation about the titles makes sense. Still, I'm a bit insulted for some reason...hehe.

I recently baught Fantastic Beasts. The notes are so funny! But not all the beasts are there and I too expected the books to be a little bit thicker!
