Chapter 1

Chapter 1 of Volume 3, "The Second Coming", certainly got the series off to a flying start! We find that a not-so-good future-Peter actually shot his own brother, and then sends Matt off to some desert wilderness, not to mention sending his present-day self to Level 5 of the paper factory . Sylar gets Claires powers, a verrrry dangerous secret formula is stolen from Hiro by a new speedster character, and Mohinder injects himself with something that seems to gives him super-strength.

Wooow, it feels like I've already seen 3 chapters but this is just the start. Future Peter has got my mind spinning - is this the same Future Peter that we saw in Volume 1 - the bomb was stopped but whatever is brewing now seems to have created a similar path as he's got that scar which is odd in itself....if Peter has Claire's self-regenerating powers, why hasn't the scar healed? Didn't Sylar or Peter say in Volume 1 that Sylar gave him the scar? And talking about Sylar, just how did he take Claire's powers? He seemed to be examining Claire's brain like he would have done a watch, and then when he found the right bit there was a bit of a squelchng sound and voila, he had it! Maybe he naturally has the ability to use any power at all but needs to identify what part of his own brain he needs to activate to use the power? It was an interesting insight into his personality that he didn't seem to want to kill Claire.

Angela Petrelli seemed to mention something of her own ability too, which from what she was saying to Future-Peter is the power to view the future in her dreams. I think was the first time we've known what she can do, although even now it seemed to be very briefly mentioned...will we find out more as this Volume goes by?

And where did Matt end up? From the title of this chapter and Mohinder's narration, my best guess is somewhere in the Holy Lands.

WOW!!! Yeah, where I live, it comes on at crazy hours, so I was never able to get hooked on it, so everything you just said went directly over my head. But it sounds interesting. I hope everything works out nice in the end. Though it sounds like an End-of-the-World series to me. Hmmm, maybe I should start getting up at those crazy hours to watch it.

I watched it about 3 minutes ago and I realise what Paul is talking about now...
Clare's scene grossed me out, I mean, EW!
It was kind of weird hw Sylar suddenly got her power, I guess - like Paul said - it unlocks something inside of Sylar, he always had but needed to touch/feel something to fully unlock it.
Hiro & Ando totally conused me, only when the girl talked to Hiro did I realise that the blur of blue & red was the girl running. I missed the first ten minutes, it might of been in there but I still am confused.
Hiro inside the town teleports to some future scene or something where Ando weilds power and is creating mass havok.
So, if Ando is exposed to the thing inside the vault I think that is what will result in him having powers.
Gawd, never a dull moment is there ?
Mohinder injects himself, lays down, and closes his eyes. Simple , but seriously, he injects imself, but why ? Wasn't he trying to get rid of the powers...? Poor robbers, must've really crushed their self-esteem
The sub-titles for Ando & Hiro kind of bore me so if they say anything important you can count on me not knowing about it.
At the very end, Matt is in a random desert, screaming for somebody to help. I don't get that bit aswell

Something tells me think this is going to be the best Heroes season so far (the BBC shows something called Heroes Unmasked after each episode and the cast and crew seem to be giving the impression of an awesome series ahead). Maybe you can sleep a few hours and get up for heroes then sleep again, Salemboy? Either that or one of those muggle Vedyo recorders DVDVD recording machines (if DVDs can record TV - I seriously don't know for sure whether that's possible).

I think Mohinder is trying to unlock the secrets of how the powers are gained and lost - attempting to follow in the footsteps and improve on the knowlege of his father. Hee hee about the robbers - that's instant justice for them.

I quite like the subtitles for Hiro and Ando. I didn't notice it until it was mentioned in Heroes Unmasked but they try to put them in comic-book style beside the character or part way down the screen rather than just along the bottom of the screen all the time...and sometimes in BIG LETTERS!

You wouldn't have missed anything about speedster-girl in the first 10 minutes - the first we saw of her was whoosh when the formula disappeared from Hiro's hands in the office. I think those 10 minutes may have been the time when Matt was sent to the desert though. The chapter started with Future-Peter running into a warehouse where Future-Claire confronts him with a gun. I can't remember exactly what she said - possibly something about "things have has got to stop" and actually shot at Peter who teleported back to the present day, walked into the back of the crowd where Nathan was giving his speech and shot at Nathan.

Present-day Peter ran after the shooter into a room, and we saw one of the Peters come back out. Slightly after this, Matt found Peter "looking around" in what I think was the room that the two Peters had gone into. Matt had found the gun already hiddn there and got suspicious about Peter, at which point Peter sent Matt into the desert wilderness.

I think I've got the details about-right but please correct me anyone if I'm off a bit.

Interesting yet sooo confusing!
Thebrothers of the future and present confuses me so much, I'm hoping they aren't to vital to the plot since I don't seem to be following them.
With the subtitles, I have only ever seen them down the bottom, but maybe in England (I think you are) they show different minor things.
Sylar is a creep, but I admire how he didn't want to kill Clare and gave her the scalp back -which was actually quite gross-.

I keep trying to forgive Sylar but then he goes and brutaly murders someone again - killing Maya's brother last series was particularly horrible.

The positioning of the subtitles is very subtle. I think "Heroes Unmasked" is specific to the BBC but it was the directors and producers who mentioned it in "Heroes Unmasked" I think. I would guess that it's probably the same for England as other english -speaking countries, but can't say for sure. They do have them down the bottom sometimes but other times they're very slightly off to the left or right, or slightly up depending on the position of who is speaking.
