Probably all that will happen is that we wiil know that Harry is thinking about something (probably is his birthday, no?; and because Dursleys forget about it he went outside and got asleep in the flowers.

I can't see it just being harry having fallen asleep... I think that there has to be more of a reason why he's lying there particuarly, or that someone else was the cause of him being specifically int he flowers.

Even though he's got Sirus to bully the Dursleys with, he always tries to stay out of trouble when he's at Privet Drive... he's never openly remeled against them, just hinted taht sirus would be unhappy if he didnt' get to leave... like that... For him to have purpously have gone to sleep on a bed of flowers, he would ahve known that he would be in trouble for it...

Maybehe needed to be surrounded by flowers for something magical to happen??? :)

But remember, Harry was told by the MOM that one more breaking of the underage wizard thing and he'll be out... I can't see him experimenting like that, especially outhte front of the Dursleys house!

I think it's more likely that something's happened TO him... I just can't see him lying in the flowerbed by his own choice!

Maybe he was walking past and had anotherone of those Voldemort dream/vision things and passed out>???

That could be, but the phrase "he was lying" doesn't seem to refer to passing out.
About the spell I didn't thought myself it was a very good theory (but still agree there is a possibility), maybe he read in an Herbology book that some kind of flowers can help you to cool down, and since it was very hot he decided to go there.

 , that would be cool.

Maybe he doesn'k know why he there, and is part of the plot that we will discover while reading the book, that sounds interesting.

Yeha, the more I think about it, the more I like it! I really don't think that he would put himself there for any reason, so that only leaves me iwth someone else putting him there! And to have Harry not knowing how he got there lends a little more mystery to the whole thing!

Imagine how dissapointing it would be to read the first page ot the book with that beguining quote, expecting to find out why he's there, and get told that Harry doesnt' know after all. Knowing that you will have ta wait even longer and read even faster to find out what happened to him! :x

Damn I like this idea!!!

 ; that would be very interesting, we wouldn't sleep at all until we read the whole book (well even if the flower mystery doesn't exist we will read the book in one day (at least me), but I would like the flower mystery to be solved by half the book)

And just to know, how much do you really study?
