"Well, we better do what we're told, come on!" Geneve turned and went with Arthur. Moments later Arthur was at the Grifindor common room. He spoke the password to the fat lady and she swung forward to let them in. Arthur and Geneve stepped into the Griffindor Common room, where several students were stirring as the noises throughout the castle became louder. One of the students approached Arthur. "Hey! What is she doing here? She's a Slytherin!" Arthur turned and looked at Geneve. "I... I.... Geneve what...?" Geneve looked around at the others.
"I was just making sure Arthur got here safely." she said. "Oh, and..." she pulled her wand out and fired a curse that rippled through the room, shaking the very walls. The students in the common room collapsed to the floor. She bend down and checked one of them. Still breathing. She stood back up, pulled a strand of hair out of her face and turned to the portrait hole entrance. She muttered a few incantations and before long, she had warded Grifindor tower from the inside, trapping the students and establishing her base.

An explosion erupted from somewhere in the castle as Liam staggered towards the Gryffindor common room. He was going up the third flight of stairs when a green light shot past him.
"Stay still" a soft voice cooed
He turned to see his mother bounding up the stairs with his father in her arms, Hermione was striding next to her side and she seemed to be muttering something while making movements with her wand.
"Don't move" said a voice behind Liam, he felt something cold press against his throat and he suddenly realised with horror it as a knife.
"Stupefy!" Hermione screamed while pointing her wand at Geneve, the curse missed a rebounded off of a statue and nearly hit Bill.

Geneve dragged Liam back through the portrait hole, which no longer had the fat lady in it. It was more like a portal, spinning black and red, and when they passed through it, it closed off leaving a stone wall. "NOO!!!!!" Fleur shrieked.

"Grindelwald again?" Nikolaus asked, puzzled.
"Dippet, if you don't mind, could you get to the house ghosts and tell them to guard the common rooms? I'm afraid someone has already invaded Gryffindor. The Fat Lady had spread the unfortunate event to the other portraits," requested Dumbledore.
"Severus, please look for Harry. And you know what to do..."

"Dear brother, I thank you for your effort. Severus will lead you to find the rest. I'll be coming shortly... after I have a talk with our young friend..."
"Hmpf, have a nice chat with young Nikolaus." With a grunt, Aberforth left the office, following Severus who went through the portraits along the castle.

"So... what is it with Grindelwald you are gonna talk to me about?" asked the slightly irritated Nikolaus. Dumbledore took a deep breath, before replying, "he was an old friend of mine-"
"I thought you were the one who defeated him?" Nikolaus shrugged his shoulder.
"Yes, but that was before he turned bad..." Dumbledore paused as he looked straight at Nikolaus. The resemblance, the manner, and the attitude the young man standing before him possessed, he was certain of the connection. "Perhaps I can show you my memories?" said Dumbledore as he looked past Nikolaus at the old basin seated at the corner.

Geneve pushed Liam into the room. The two of them were the only people awake in the room. Liam looked around at the people on the floor, and then back at Geneve, a look of horror on his face.
"You killed them?" he choked.
"No." Geneve said matter of factly. Liam sat on the floor. He still looked around, in shock. Geneve approached him, and knelt down beside him. She grabbed his chin and forced him to look at her. She brought her mouth to his ear. "Shhhh..." she breathed. The Veela power within her commanded complete submission. Liam brought his hand up to his head, which had started to swim. "Calm down, Liam. It's ok." Geneve pulled him to his feet. He felt terribly dizzy, and oddly, a bit happy.

Outside the porthole, Fleur was bashing on the stone. "Liam!!!" she screamed. "Liam!!!" She knelt in front of the wall and closed her eyes, searching for her son. A feeling knockedh her back. She tore her eyes open and stood up abruptly. "That little thieving..........!!!!" Fleur dropped her wand and brought her hands together. Her hair raised around her like a terrible wind had just gusted through the hall.

Geneve had Liam like a feather on the wind, he was bending to her will. She only needed to push and he would crumble. He stared into her face, a vacant look, a calm, submissive, adoring look. Then, Geneve felt something she did not expect. A punch in the pit of her stomach. She keeled over in pain, and Liam collapsed to the floor. Geneve looked up; Liam was shaking his head, and then he looked at Geneve, confused and angry.

Fleur seperated her hands and the magic stopped. "A mother's magic. You steal from him, you steal from me..." Fleur whispered, and then collapsed onto the floor. Hermione ran to her side. "Help!!!" she shrieked, and fired her patronus down the passageway.

Liam's head swam with emotion ; hate, love, anger, happiness. It was all there.

He stared around for Geneve and saw er curled up in a ball clutching her stomach, he scrabbled over to her and pulled out his wand.
"My other taught me some healing" he whispered while passing his wand over Geneve
She immediately felt the pain ease, but the danger of the force that injured her still lingered.

Geneve could breathe again. In the darkness that was in the front of her mind there was confusion. Liam had stopped the Veela magic from crushing her. Why? Geneve tried hard to push past the darkness. He doesn't want me harmed, she thought. Foolish, said the darkness.
"No....." she called from what seemed like miles below the ground. No! He cares about me! He is my friend! And he can fight you! You don't understand what it's like, you never have! You have never known love! Not even from my grandmother, or your own daughter!" Then she felt her very existence start to cave in. She was on the edge of maddness.
"Silence!!!!" the darkness screamed. "I don't need your love! Only your obidence, and your desire for power! And you do desire it! You are MY blood! And your magic is PURE! YOU WILL OBEY ME!!!" Geneve plummetted far from her mind. The darkness was in full control, and she couldn't even hear or see anymore what her conscious body was doing. She curled up in a ball, and cried bitterly.

Geneve stood up, and shook Liam from her arm. "Thank you. But that was foolish. Your mother was trying to help you." Liam looked at Geneve, confused. "Do you even know the power you possess? let me show you how to yield it, and u could be so powerful, you could have everything u've ever wanted, and more." Geneve held her hand out to help Liam up. He stared at her hand, thinking.

Liam felt Geneve's darkness overpowering her, he reached out his hand out took Geneve's.
"I accept" he said softly while trying to hold back his urge to punch her.
"Very intelligent of you, but when you accepted you made a pledge to my army, I have total control. There is no use fighting this war little boy, everyone knows evil conquers.
Liam just stood there, motionless and already feeling the darkness over power him.
'No' he thought, he had to save Geneve and everybody else who was innocent.
A surge of energy went through his brain as he whipped his arm from Geneve's grip.
He felt a prickling sensation run dwn his spine as he dusted his robes off with his hand.
"You shouldn't of done that" he sad while smiling,

A tinkle of glass rattled over in the trophy cabinet then a creaking of a door hinge at the entrance was all Liam needed. He felt the explosive ancient Veela magic power through him like a electrical cord, he trust out his arm and the nearest table exploded in, bits of wood splinters flew thorugh the air and lLiam guided them with his hand over to Geneve who stood motionless at the wall.

Geneve had tried to infect Liam with the darkness that had consumed her, but he seemed imune, and had pulsed it back out. His Veela magic had matured, and Geneve was most impressed. She drifted into transparency while the furniture Liam had thrown at her smashed against the wall she had once been standing against. She drifted back into her human form, and smiled at Liam. "Impressive. I can't wait to see more, but perhaps, in the battle outside?" She raised her hands and yelled a curse that blew out the entrance wall. Behind it was Hermione, coughing from the dust of the rubble. Liam looked around, and cursed. Geneve was gone.

Liam began repeatedly shooting at things with the power, he ws furious. She had gotten away once again and he would make the darkness pay.
A spluttering Hermione ran towards him and hugged him, his first instinct was to hug back ut then he saw his mother lying on the hard cold floor weeping.
"Fluer will be fine, she is just in shock" explained Hermione while casting an anxious glance at his mother.
Liam tore away from Hermione's grip as he heard cries from outside.
He looked at Hermione, "We need to fight"
"Liam you are not-" she said but before she could finish Liam was rushing down the stairs in pursuit with Geneve.

Geneve leaned against the wall, breathing heavily, a grin across her face. The emotions were flooding her body, and she was so excited. Liam was perfect for what she had hoped to accomplish. She moved quickly, running down the corridor and down to the dungeons. She needed a potion.

Valencia felt a tug towards the dungeons. What's that little girl done now? Valencia wondered. Then she set off towards the potions room.

Geneve entered the potions room and immediately made her way to the private store room. She raised her wand and broke the lock. She laughed a bit at the slack security. Everyone had become so calm, thinking Voldemort had gone forever. They were so wrong. Geneve pulled the capsule out of her pocket and pulled out the piece of parchment. It was ancient, the paper; and on it were a list of ingredients. She read them, and as she did she expertly collected each ingredient and put them carefully into a potions carry case. She slung the case over her shoulder, closed the door to the store room and turned around. She noticed a shadow moving from outside the potion room door. Someone was coming. The very thought echoed in her mind. "Someone... Valencia." Geneve hid behind some shelves. Her heart was racing. Then she saw him, standing across the room near the teachers desk. "Greetings, my dark Lord... or should I say, dark Lady?" Marcellus loomed like a shadow. His ghostly presence sent a chill over Geneve. She wrapped her arms around herself.
"Marcellus. So nice to see you. You're looking... transparent." Geneve said, and attempted a smile.
Marcellus smiled back, and looked at himself. "Indeed, you are in better condition that I.. but I have to warn you. If Valencia comes, she could destroy you still."
"What do you mean?"
"It's a tricky thing, stealing magic. It would be nice to do so with no distractions... no interuptions. But unfortunatley, u were interupted." Marcellus paused so Geneve could consider his words.
"I... I was interupted. Damn! If I had stolen it all, she would be no threat. She would be mad, unable to speak, and certainly unable to talk. What do you suggest we do? What knowledge do you have to remedy this mess?" Geneve approached the ghost.
"Only that we should capture her, and finish what you started... my Lady." he bowed.
"This girl is not strong enough to physical capture anyone... but I can give her the power to disable Valencia. We have the means right here to complete the spell?"
"Yes." Marcellus said.
"Well.... then let us welcome your little grand daughter then. It's time these two had a little... chat." Geneve turned and waited for Valencia to enter the room. Marcellus hid himself in the shadows.

Valencia sauntered into the room, taking her time. You might think that she was arrogant. But the expression on her face disspelled any hints at egotisticalness. Valencia's mouth was a hard line, her eyes were narrowed, her wand at the ready. Valencia usually kept up an attitude of fun, even when dealing with danger. Not this time. The only remotely cheerful part of her was her eyes. Though narrowed in threat, they danced as what little amount of light there was in the dungeon was reflected off of them. The glint made Valencia's approaching figure look all the more menecing as she gracefully walked into the room.
"Hello, Geneve." she said softly. "Grandfather." she nodded towards Marcellus.
"Granddaughter." he acknowledged back.
"You're going to capture me?" Valencia asked, still in that soft tone, reading Marcellus's intentions in his face. But it was Geneve who answered.
"But of course. I need to finish what I started."
"Of course. Only quitters quit." Valencia quoted, and a shadow of a smile crossed her face. "But like you, I am not a quitter either. I'm not giving up my magic."
"Oh, come on." and now it was Voldemort's voice that emitted from Geneve's mouth. "Be a good little girl and give me what's mine."
"Okay." Valencia replied serenely. "I will be a good little girl. And good little girls choose to do what's right. Therefore, you'll get nothing from me." Geneve's wand hand twitched slightly, and Valencia laughed. But her laugh contained no humor.
"Going to kill me? I think not. You can't squeeze money from a dead man." Valencia could see that Geneve was in a dilemma. A dilemma that Valencia was going to use to her best advantage. Marcellus could be advantageous as well. Such an easily aggravated man would be easy to manipulate.
Staring into each other's eyes, both Geneve and Valencia came to the same conculsion. That neither was willing to yeild, and like the story of the tortoise and the hare, it would be endurance, not power, that would determine the winner of this race.

Liam stumbled towards the dungeons, loud voices were coming from their and he knew who they belonged to. When he finally reached the potions room, he saw the door was ajar, he pulled out his wand and tried to see through the crack.
He gasped when he saw Valenica and Geneve talking as if they were best friends, and what was tha ? Oh no, Valencia was laughing. Had he been to late, did Geneve already have her magic?
These thoughts were to much to barem he burst into the room and ran to Valencia, all eyes stared at Liam he felt as if he had entered a quidditch pitch and he was the seeker.
