Im pretty sure that LV wouldn't want somebody as 'dirty' and lowdown as a squib working for him. I mean, all his followers are purebloods, or at least claim to be.

i think they might be onto something here...for all we know filch is only PRETENDING to be a squib koz who would suspect someone like that to work with voldy?

I don't think that Voldemort cares if Filch is just a squib as long as he provides him with the information but I wouldn't say so. He has Snape as a spy.

Could it be that all of the horcruxes represented something biblical. The cup is the Holy Grail. The snake was the one wrapped around the kudusus. And the Sword could be the lance which pierced Jesus' side.
