Now might be a good time to show you the rules, Godric...

-----------------------------------
Shooting: Once in the scoring zone the chaser with the quaffle can choose to shoot it. He/she PMs Q.Araignee with the direction of the shot (left, right or middle).
Keeping: The keeper then PMs Q.Araignee with the direction of the save (left, right or middle).
Scoring: Q.Araignee, as the ref, will then post the score - if the keeper has chosen the correct direction of the shot, it is saved. If not, it is a goal, and the shooting team is awarded ten points.
Seeking: At any point during the match, I (PITA) will announce that the snitch has been sighted on the pitch. From the 5th post after that one, you can If you try to catch it on.
On the 5th post, you will catch it.
6th post, you'll miss.
7th post, you'll catch it.
8th post, you'll miss.
After and including the 5th post, every odd-numbered post you can catch the snitch. If you forget and post on the sixth after it or any even number, you will miss. When the snitch is caught, the seeker's team is awarded 150 points, and the match is ended.
Winning and Losing: The team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

--------------------------------------------

So you can't just score and save willy-nilly, I'm afraid - that could turn crazy...

So anyone can Keep really, in terms of PM-ing QA. She'll accept the first direction PM'd to her.

Same with Scoring.

I'll let that first post fly... but you see what's wrong with it? It doesn't give Slytherin (me) a chance to score! PM'ing QA makes it an actual competition.

Sorry! Will that throw off the scoring? Where are the scores posted? I never thought that this could be so complicated. So you can have us flying for a year if you!

Every time a goal is attempted, I'll post up what happens and what the score is. At the moment it's 10-10.

Haha, if you think that's complicated, you should have seen what the original rules were like.

It's pretty basic really, you can use your artistic license for pretty much everything, except that you just PM QA with directions for shots and saves.

And with Seeking, once you get to 5 posts... odd numbers let you catch the Snitch, even numbers and you'll miss.

And don't worry, I won't have it go for a year :D !

Okay, errrr.... couple questions:

1. What happened to me????!!!! Why am I a "slight;y dazed keeper"? Did I get hit in the head with a bludger earlier on in the match? Am I just an air head like Luna?

2. How could jumping off your broom and pulliung somebody down to the ground faster with the possibility of you landing on them practically save them? Just a curious physics student.

1. Yes, you got taken out by a bludger earlier in the match.

2. No idea. I didn't do it. It doesn't matter, this is fiction! If you want physics, a story about magic probably isn't... yeah  .

Well... PITA is right... it's magic
Besides I would think Misty would use her own body to shield Arven's body from the impact and who knows... she might have extra padding underneath her robe. Most probably someone... used a magic on them... like slowing down their movements???

There's more than meet the eye... :o

Some sort of serious injury was it, choki? Can't remember exactly...

yeah, Arven was seriously wounded last year during a quidditch match. Serious enough to put her out of school for almost a year (I came up with that story after joining this RPG in the middle portion... had to explain my character absence)

what ever happened on that day remains a mystery... but it surely was not a simple accident.... heeeee... maybe it was dark magic? Ahhh the possibilities

Another mystery to unravel in the coming months.

After this Quidditch Match will be holidays (have we had Christmas yet?) and then a Quidditch Match between Rav. and Huf. that nobody can compete in, so everyone can just be spectators and play it out as a story... doesn't matter who wins.

After that the Hogwarts Quidditch Team will be selected, the one going on the tournament - there won't be any Quidditch Cup this year, those other games are just trials.

So then trainings... and then the Interschool Quidditch Tournament, where something is bound to go wrong (muahaha).

Now 2006/2007 was actually the school year that was supposed to hve the Triwizard Tournament, as it's held ever 4 years and it was held 1994/1995 in Harry's time.

But when the Interschool Quidditch Tournament is held... there will be a Ball. The Tournament will be held in late March/early April (RPG time).

That's all.

After that they'll be study, revision etc... then exams. Then the school year concludes, as does the scenario. And we then have a number of options... a holiday one, or straight to a 07/08 one perhaps... whatever.

First you need 30 posts, then you go to the first page of the scenario (in the RPG Forum) that you wish to participate in... at the bottom of the very first introductory post you'll find a link to create a character.

If the character is sensible and all the details work, one of the RPG moderators, either myself or Q.Araignee, will accept the character, or if something is a little off with it we may choose to reject it, in which case changes will need to be made.

You're most welcome to join - also check out the rules in the RPG Forum!

The problem with a holiday one is that, like in holidays, there's a high chance of it getting very, very boring. At least in a scenario at Hogwarts, there's always another day or routine you can follow while you try to think of a good exciting thing to happen.
