We dont even know for sure that RAB is initails. It could be a nickname, beginning of a name or R. and B. It was pretty obvious that atleast 2 people had to get the locket. Maybe it was Remus and B____. At the burrow, Lupin says to harry hes been underground lately (almost literally). Maybe he means the cave. I heard Lupin is gonna be important in book 7...

What I mean is that, well, Sirius has been in jail, he also thought for awhile that Lupin was trator, same thoughts of Sirius with Lupin. Then Sirius has had to hide, and Lupin was proubely had a good eye on him from the ministery, it's possible, but unlikely...

They had like almost 3 years after Lupin and Harry found that Sirius was innocent. He did have to hide but maybe Lupin helped him with that. I think its possible.
