Can you believe that the bookies are taking bets on Ron being the one to kill Harry at the moment - the odds on Ron to do it are at 6-1!!! He's meant to be his best mate!

In theory, Harry shouldn't die.
either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives
Kinda indicates to me one or the other.
I'm betting Hagrid is the one with reguard to this thread.

I know what you mean I can't see it that Harry will die especially when the last word in the book is scar. Why would that be interesting if he was dead?
Oh I hope it's not Hagrid, that would be one of the last people HP is really close to.

I read an article today in our local paper's entertainment section regarding the death in book 7. JKR specifically stated that the death will not allow any non-authors to continue the HP series - so it's gotta be either Harry and/or another major character. I mean, it's tragic, but who else would die and make it impossible for the series to continue?

Someone should point out to JKR that Elric dies in the first book of that series.

Nah, saw the interview (which you can see on mugglenet.com) and what she actually said was that she could see why authors do kill off their main characters - so others wouldn't try to continue the story. But she gave no indication as to whether she would or not. She did say that 2 die that she didn't expect and one got a reprieve.

I think it will be Ron because it has to be someone close to Harry. So in that could be Hermione too. I think she will keep Harry alive

I can't imagine her killing Harry. She would suffer the most...
