I heard that PoA is the last movie that will star Daniel, Emma and Rupert. For GoF and the rest of the movies, they will be recasted.

I can see where they are coming from, in a way. I mean, they are growing up fast.

They might not even MAKE all 7 movies.

I sure hope this is just a dumb rumour. Anyone else heard anything similar to this?

I'm scared... It's bad enough that Richard Harris passed away and had to be replaced... but not this too!!

I could care less about Radcliffe. Personally, I don't like the kid. He's annoying mostly because he wouldn't wear green contacts or have his hair messed up. Stupid kid...but as for not making all seven movies, they'd be stupid not to, because they'd bring in a lot of money!

I don't think they'd do that. I mean, it just doesn't make sense . . . why would you change a whole cast of characters after making two movies? Couldn't they use movie makeup to make them look younger or something?


I don't care that Radcliffe wouldn't wear contacts or mess up his hair. All that matters to me is whether or not he can act, which he can't. He could be Harry Potter's identical twin and be the crummiest actor in the world. If they're going to find new people to play the roles, they'd better find someone who can act. I mean, Emma and Rupert are excellent, but . . . ugh, don't get me started on Radcliffe. I mean, it's not as if I could do a better job, but still, if they're going to find somebody to play Harry he might as well be able to act, right?

It's be awful if they changed the cast. Just when we've all started to get used to them. They must be able to make them look a few years younger if they can make all those teen films with actors in their 20s. Like back to the future! Michael J Fox was in his 20s when he filmed that...i think?!

yeah! another example: one Smallville, Tom Welling, who plays the 16 year old Clark Kent is 22, and that guy who plays the 23 year old Lex is 30!

And he does have his hair messed up, to the point, and his does wear green contacts in the movie, so I dont know what u r talking about. And he is the best actor!!! U can say that u don't like the way he acts, but don't call him stupid He is the nicest person ever and has perfect manners (awww) unlike some....

Anyway, *takes deep breaths and calms down* , yeah I heared that they are signed for only 3 movies. Also, that they are planning to take breaks in between movies - thats why they might change the cast.

....that would totally sux! I hate when the cast changes - Im already used to all of the characters. esp. Dan Radcliffe

as completely annoying as it is that he doesn't wear the contacts, and that the kids might not be the best actoer ever, they will get better at is, as we saw in the imvorvement from the philosophers stone to chamber of secrets.

But the main thing is that we are used to them now. No matter who they change to, it always sucks when they change the actor half way through something. I mean, I'm not really a daniel ratcliff fan, but I would be quite annoyed if they cahnged him now.

the actor that plays Tom Riddle is over 20...and hes playing a school boy who isnt even in his final year i beleive....

anyway, i beleive they were advised by somebody...the first director or something like that that they shouldnt carry on after the third movie.....

the actor who plays Oliver Wood is twenty also, most of the time when they have actors play teenagers they get older ones because children (or teens) can't work as long as adults (tobey maguire who plays a teen/college student in Spiderman is 28)

yeah, making people look younger isn't a problem for movie makup artists, or older for that matter, or making a normal size person seem as though they are the size of a hobbbit
