Magical Games and Sports

Postby Phoenix in the Ashes » Monday 9 January 2006 10:10:07am

We all know the the current Quidditch Forum is rotting away in front of us. We also know that it's going ot take a bit of effort to boost it up again.

I propose, instead of Quidditch Forum, we replace it with:

Magical Games and Sports Forum

This way, it opens up threads involving the book, "Quidditch Through the Ages" and the other sports we learn about there.

And the best thing?

We lose absolutely no posts, because the Magical Games and Sports Forum would simply be an extension on the Quidditch Forum.

Come on people, I think it's a fantastic idea. It's about time we recognised the international and historic games, and this builds up just another level of Broomsticks and Owl's complete world of Harry Potter. :)

Are you with me?

I haven't read "Quidditch Through the Ages" and I am not sure how we could play other games (are there many? I can only think of chess at the moment), but why not?

I didn't mean it to play the other games as seen in QTTA. I just mean a place to discuss them, actually.

But you know, all the ideas can be discussed..

I don't expect it to become busy or anything though. There is little to say about other sports, despite the fact there are a lot of them. But it wouldn't hurt to just expand the forum.

Neither do I, but it might if there's, say, just one good thread.

That's all it would require.

Anything's better than what it's got now.

Mmm... I understand, on most forums, I only go on one thread, yet I'm very active in those forums.

He probably won't get around to it 'till the weekend, if at that. He seems pretty busy. Isn't the link on the mod forum anyway?

I've no idea, I'm never usually on at the same time as him anyway.

Obviously quite busy, though...

He had to be on to make that noticed about switching back to the old server though. About then, I'd say.

I was on one time at the same time as he. But he was only on for little bit and didn't post anything. Maybe he comes on, just doesn't post.

Very likely.

Probably just works on the site and stuff. He doesn't really need to post that often.
