I don't think she played them per se, more like watched them when they were designing them. But it's interesting because in her interviews, J.K.R never mentions the EA videogames, but she's always talking about the movies and stuff.

It'd be interesting to know her view of them.

Probably just.. gees, they made a video game out of a book....

I don't think vidoe games should be made out of books, I think books should be made out of video games. Like, imagine an entire book about The Sims? It could be like one of those multi choice books, you know Turn to page 30 if you choose to have a baby or turn to page 67 if you wish to get a divorce.
Man that'd be cool! I'd read it all day. I just love The Sims, I have everyone, but the cd's scratched so now I just play it on xbox.
Harry Potter games sometimes aren't good because they may ruin the story line to some people who are planning to read the book but haven't. And if they play the game first, they may not think the book is worth reading, based on the video game. But now I'm just rambling so I'll wrap this up.

In my opinion, fat chance.

Those games contain less storyline than a comic book.

They have a storyline, I mean if you don't skip over the cutscenes you'll see it. And the videogame isn't based on the book, it's based on the movie.

Exactly. The games won't ruin the storyline for the book because they're based on the movie.

And I didn't say they had no storyline.

Well, one of the things I don't like is the fact that the graphics suck. And when you see the other people in the trio walking around.... it's actually rather humorous. Ron kept on walking into poisonous mushrooms and was draining my health..... wait, have you ever noticed that there's this thing with HP videogames and mushrooms?

It all depends on the console you have. PS1 has always had crummy graphics. X-box, in my opinion, is the only way to play video games.

I personally, think any videogame aside from Sim City and Civilization, is a waste of time and money.

Yes, well.. that's your opinion. I'm an Age of Empires man myself...

Never played Sim City, I remember going over to a family friend's house and he was playing it... well it bored me to death watching it but I'm sure it'd possibly be better playing it, and it was like 4 years ago...

4 years ago Sim City was boring and simple.... now it's a bit more advanced.... Civilization's my fav though. Age of Empires is good, but I never quite brought myself to like it.

Sounds good. I like games like that.

What's Civilisation like, anyway? Similar?

Uh... kinda, you basically build an empire. You can chose out of a bunch of different ancient civilizations, i.e., Persia, Egypt, China....
