About the address...

Is it possible to make the address shorter? I always leave letters out or add some more. Is it possible? Probably not. Now I feel stupid now that I asked.

It's a valid question - the answer is both yes and no. Technically it would be possible if I bought a separate domain with a very short name and had it forward to www.broomsticksandowls.com/forum but there are reasons why I really don't want to do this. Some browsers will autocomplete the address for you (the Opera browser for example, which I highly recommend - downloadable from www.opera.com). When I come to the forum, all I do with Opera is type:

bro

and press the down arrow key, and the enter key and I get straight here. :-) :) :D

Or you can add the site to your favourites or create a link.

Yes, but I've got a lot of issues against Internet Explorer, including the constant stream of bugs and vulnerabilities that are reported, plus Microsoft's failed (so far) attemps at introducing Smart Tags which would have changed any website (without the website owner's permission) to include unwanted links to wherever Microsoft desired ... plus more issued too.

If you've not yet tried Opera it's worth a go. The download is quite small and you can tweak Opera in lots of ways to get it to look great.

Oh, there's another thing about Microsoft too - they have deliberately targeted Opera users, by purposely providing them with a broken page at MSN (an attempt, it appears, to try to make the Opera browser look bad). Previously they blocked Opera users entirely from MSN! The folks at Opera have got a sense of humour though, and have fought back with the Opera Bork version, based on the Swedish Chef from the muppets!

I used to love Microsoft, but after finding the ways they try to beat other businesses, I've got very little respect for them now I'm afraid. And I'm quite sad about that bcause I would have liked to keep liking them. :-(
