Eating Crow - A shipper Thread

Who do you like best and who could you definately live without? Will there be romance in the air for any of them and who will end up with who?

apart from the avatar, I was lead to believe it was you by your Starbucks location, as we all know about that from the Three Broomsticks

I also knew that it was Hermione Potter because of the Starbucks location...lol!!!

My caffeine addiction is SO sad...

On topic, if we are able to talk about 'ships in general, what did you think about some of the other couplings in the book? I thought Lupin/Tonks was sorta sweet...and Ron/Lavender was pretty laughable. How on earth did Parvati and Lavender get into Gryffindor anyway?? For another topic, I know...

Speaking of Ron, since it seems pretty inevitable that Ron and Hermione will be getting together (even if only for a short time), any ideas what will happen there? I share Harry's fear...that if they have some nasty breakup, it'll get really awkward between the three of them. Thoughts?

I have to say that I think R/H has been obvious for a while - remember how jealous he was of Krum? How annoyed she was he didn't ask her to the ball? (also in the prisoner film how they hold hands and look embaressed?)
Harry has never shown interest in her, where-as Ron has subtly done so. Clearly there's will be a fuelled relationship as they do things to annoy each other almost constantly, but I expect them to be strongly together at the end of book 7.
I personally have a horrible feeling Harry will die killing V at the end of the next book, but the Ginny and him will be strongly together just before that point, even if he tries to push her away. I find that that fits almost too nicely for me though - going out with best friends sister, so he is part of Weasley family, and realted to Ron and all that.
I find it strange that he appears to want to go for V without the Orders help tho - altho. I understand why he doesn't trust the ministry.

Ummm...
I quite like Remus and Tonks together I think it's cute...
R/H I have always been and always will be a R/H shipper I've known for a while that they like each other

Ron and Lavender I started laughing at that it was funny...no attraction their for Ron, but only to have a good snog...lolz, and also to make Hermy jealous...

i know ron and lavender made me laugh too. it was so stupid and then watching ron squirm as he tried to avoid her later on the book, hehehe. and harmione trying to make ron jealous with that mcClaggen guy. that was also amusing, poor hermione being mauled by that...

but i have no words to express how happy was when harry and ginny finally got together. now all we need is for ginny to stick harry's 'noble' act where the sun don't shine and tag along for the search for the horcruxes. and do you really think ron and hermione will face numerous dangers probably in unihabitated spots with no one or anything to distarct them, without anything happening? their fear of the uncertain future will drive them together when the whole hogwarts thing is gone (by that i mean all the people, lavender, viktor's letters, all the sources of their fights...etc)

I was certain that when she saw him in the hospital Fleur was gonna run for the hills. I was sure she would find some way to get out of it. But, she seems absolutely determined to make it work. And, Mrs Weasley gave in. Even though i didn't like Fleur, I was glad that she didn't even flinch.

When I first started reading the books, I thought it was obvious that Harry and Hermione would get together. But, after a while, it was clear that that wasn't gonna happen. But, I am sooooooooo glad that Harry got over Cho. She's nice and all, but I was tearing my eyes out reading about his infatuation with her. Ginny is a MUCH better choice for Harry. She is quite strong and mature, a voice of reason. Also, she has had encounters with LV and his DEs. She can understand a little part of Harry's world. She's headstrong, smart, perfect for Harry. She also shares Harry's love of quidditch. In hindsight, She is more suited for Harry than Hermione.

I love Hermione, but she is.

I think Ron and Hermione will finally get together. It's taken a while. But, the aftermath has been funny. She had to escape McClaggen and all. Ron and Lavender...clearly he was just trying to make H jealous. But, a least he got some good practice out of it. He should know how to kiss now.

Never...mention...the...movies...again

I like Fleur. She may come across as shallow, but reading GoF should give you a hint of her real character. She's a good person

Ron and Hermione can't work in real life, or in books if you follow any form of time passing. Yes, they might get along and be sweet for a few weeks. But eventually, they're going to start fighting again, and they don't fight nicely

Sorry Tanuki, I just reported you to the monitor on accident
I was trying to quote you...I think Ron and Hermione are a bit played out by now. Maybe they'll get together in the last book, but I am a bit uninterested at this point! I agree that there doesn't seem to be a good histroy for those two to "make it work".

I like Fleur more now, too. She may be a bit annoying, but she has excellent character.

As for Ron and Hermione, I am yearning to believe that they'll make it. I'm not saying there won't be fights, but I think they're way too stubborn to just let it fail, at least once they've got it going. Also, I think they'll be a lot better out of Hogwarts what with all the competition, once they separate into their own careers and don't see each other every second of the day. I'm married and get to see my husband a lot, but we get into petty fights sometimes when we're attached at the hip.

I don't care what anyone says, I love Ron and hermione together.

tanuki, it can work in real life. those 2 remind me a lot of my aunt and uncle. they argue a lot, had serious fights, th rest of the familie has tought many times that they were about to break up but they are still together, for almost 15 years now
so maybe ...
