I think Nikki was asking where all the Dementors have gone... which is a good question. If memory serves me correctly... The Ministry of Magic decided to get rid of the Dementors because of thier cruel nature. You don't beat evil by doing evil things. The Dementors suck away people's happiness, leaving the prisoners in a state of constant depression. I imagine there are quite a few suicides in Azkaban.

But I guess the question is; what did the Ministry do with the Dementors? Where are they now if they aren't guarding Azkaban? Who is guarding Azkaban? I guess we'll find out soon enough.




As for what Lucious does for a living, I agree with what others have said; he probably inherited most of his money. He probably funds various "behind the scenes" operations like gangs, drugs, illegal magic and weaponary etc. to pull in a profit and mess things up for everyone else. Of course he has to keep a good public image, so that's why he donates to Hogwarts and St. Mungos. It also gives him quite a bit of leverage when making deals with these organizations. It can't be easy to say "no" to somebody who has just paid for your new library or medical equiptment.

oh, well we will all find out in 8 days what happened to all the dementors, which i wonder if it has anything to do w/ Fudge, since he used to work w/ Umbridge and she sent the dementors on Harry

he did say he worked at the ministry in the 2nd book but i think that he bribes a lot of people coz he cant have that much money just from the ministry.........
