Something I thought was interesting...

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

i dunno about this... neville has changed alot. if part of your life changes, other parts will change with it. i could see him flying now. however, i am not certain. i think that now, neville will not be developed much further. book 5 was the growing point for neville, but now i think it will be som1 else.

i really like this theory tho. dont kno y, but it just seems cool.

He was still falling down and apologizing throughout the fight in OotP. He's gotten more serious and definitely is working harder, but he is still in character. He's a clumsy guy with very little talent, but a kind heart and courage. This is his personality. He may grow more, now that he has his own wand, but he will always remain close to this description. His level of talent wont increase so much; it would be unrealistic and would ruin his role as a character

yeah, in the first book he was so frighteend to get his feet off the ground that he ... had a little accident.
Neville will have to undergoe many many many more wand breakings if he has to be good enough to be on the quidditch team. unless every other gryffendor suddenly dissappears, but i doubt that'll happen

I don't think flying is something that Neville will ever be good at. But maybe something with potions and herbs/plants...even though he's not good with Snape...he does love that kind of material with plants 'n such. Maybe that will come in very useful in the end?!

maybe. i agree that he will probably NEVER be good at quidditch, let alone getting onto a broom. but, he might get better at potions or something like that. maybe he'll do really well in DADA? Or find something really important to do with herbology? who knows. =D

i believe that you aren't reading to far into it, i think that neville, in the ned might actuall achieve something, he has been improving over time.
