What ever happened to Mr. Norris??

Postby Un'Anima Persa » Saturday 12 February 2005 11:01:25pm

Ok, so there is mrs. norris, but i've always wondered about mr. norris! i think that both mr. and mrs. norris were unregistered animagi, and that filch fell in love with mrs. norris, so he killed mr. norris when he found out she was married. Mrs. norris was so upset, that she refuses to change back into her human form.

lol... i hadn't either... until i realized that for her to be called mrs. norris, she had to have a husband... lol

from the above post, i meant animagus (sp?) anyways...

continuing on that, i believe that filch keeps her locked up at certain hours of the day, hoping that she will change back. but of course, she would not. this has driven him insane, but he continues to work at hogwarts, because dumbledore has pity on him... lol

he has been in love only once in his life, and that is with her. despite the fact that she hates him for killing mr. norris, she helps him out, by catching troublemakers, so at least they wont get kicked out of hogwarts, and live in a rat-trap on the other side of the dumpster...

you know... this would make a weird fic...

any opinions out there??

It would indeed make a weird fic, if you write it I'll be the first to read it.

However, I think she's just a cat, and the Mrs. just part of a cat's name (still you never know with JKR...). But I doubt that there'll be another unregistered animagus (and she would have to be unregistered, otherwise Hermione would know), and that kind of plot turn is really getting old.

Are there curses that can turn you into an animal and there's nothing you can do about it? I mean, not like being an animagus, but forever? Maybe she was Filch's big love, but had a very strict pureblood father, somewhat like the Blacks, and as a punishment for loving a squib, he turned her into a cat. That's why he's so bitter about being a suib...But wait, why the Mrs then? :???: Okies, I got it: Her family forced her into a fine pureblood marriage, but she ran away, for Filch. So she was turned into a cat. Perfect! Allright, I confess it's far fetched, but hey...

Btw, I still believe Filch's working for Lord Voldemort...

Okay, but isn't that the whole point of St. Mungo's... to help people who get stuck in situations like that due to magic.

I cannot give answers but only add questions to the topic: What happens to the little creatures used for McG's animal experiements? Blown-up frogs? Hedgehogs turned into pincushions? Some of the jinxes are quite drastic experiments.

In the film they write in the credits, that no animal was harmed. At least I hope so.

What happens? They're just dead, I think. Oh, I hate that! I'm a vegetarian, after all.

Well, if there wasn't any hope for a spell to be broken, I don't think they'd keep you in St. Mungo's. After all, I rather be a cat at Hogwarts than a cat trapped in a little hospital room.

OK, some are dead, but some coffee pots with feet keep on crawling. Not even Hermione cares about these. Cruel children!

Um, I think McGonnagal turns them back

Also, read book two on Mandrakes, they restore people who have been transfigured or stuck in a form

yeah, buts thats only when they kno how they were transfigured. its very hard to untransfigure stuff. theres a bit in fantastic beasts about it, some kind of scottish island or something covered in hairy monsters with big teeth who were once wizards... its a bit of a long story, but cool

I find it very unlikely that an animagus or such transfiguration is beyond the ability to cure. I think this isnland or wherever just might be before St. Mungo's since that hospital seems fairly new in comparrison to some things

it still exists. anyway, st mungos cant do evrything, especially when it goes wrong, like it would in school alot. thats why they have a permanent inhabitants ward, for uncurable problems.

anyway, if it was easy to be an animagus, there would be more official ones than there are right now. i reckon it is very risky, and people might not do it too much because even st mungos cant fix any problems. just a thought.

What raises a question: Will Harry or one of his friends become an animagus in the remaining books?

Opinions please.
