Brooms in HP

Postby Sacred Guardian » Thursday 20 February 2003 3:23:48am

every year that Harry has been playing Quidditch has been played at Hogwarts (first second and third, not fourth b/c of the TWT) there has been a new broom come out, Nimbus 2000 in SS, Nimbus 2001 in CoS, and Firebolt in PoA, if the pattern holds true, and Quidditch is played in OotP, then shouldn't there be a new broom turning up, if so, what do you suppose it improvments over the Firebolt will be, and who do you think will have one.

hmmm...i'm not sure if they'll have a new one. Though on the clues written by JKR, 'broomstick' was one of them. But I think that if they keep on introducing one every book, it would seem too routine.

yeah, prolly. the focus for quiddich will prolly be on the team, not the brooms, what with Wood gone and a new captain needed...

i dont think it will be Harry....hes the youngest member

all though...i wouldnt like to try and choose between the weasley twins, either they'll get it joint or it'll be one of the chasers

wonder who will be the new keeper...

theres never any mention of anyone outside the team being able to fly...theres not even much mention of ron flying...but he has had at least 3 elder brothers on the team so maybe it could be him

yeah, harry is the youngest, but when harry became seeker in his first year, wood was the captain, and harry is now in his fifth year, so, it could happen

I think Ron might be the new keeper, just because he needs to get some fame.

Another question, are Katie, Angelina, and Alicia all in the same year? If so, are they in sith or seventh?

well in book 4 fred and george must turn 17 because they were a few months too young to enter the tournament

whereas angelina did enter (she had her birthday a week before the goblet.....that makes her the same year as fred and george)

cant find any mention of the other two though

I'd like one of the twins to be captain too. A far cry from Wood.

I was thinking, if in book 5 Alicia Angelina and Katie (along with the twins) are all in their 7th year, then in book 6, there will be 2 returning Quidditch players being Harry and whoever takes Wood's place.

Who do you think will be the replacements?
