The thing is Harry is remarkably like Tom Riddle...that's what makes him such an incredible anti-voldemort because he is just like him. What better to beat the enemy but by from the inside...but the fact is harry is not Tom Riddle...it was the choices he made that made him so alike, but so different from Tom Riddle. Our choices model who we are, not our destiny. Harry chose to befriend Ron Weasley, to dislike Draco from page one, and to not want to be in Slytherin. With out Gryffindor, Harry might as well be VD again...but he's not. What Harry has become is partially because of Gryffindor, but mostly because of Harry. It's all Harry's doing, and that's what makes the story so awesome...what's inside is what counts, not your lineage, not your money, and not your connections. YOU
