It just seems to me that the whole Slytherin despises Weasleys.

And smth tells me that like 99% of the SLytherin are pure bloods. And I imagine that their parents had raised them with not having any tolorance for muggles - thus Hermoine would be a target too.

Draco probably knows most of the kids in Slytherin, becuase their parents prob. know each other.

yeah i suppose so considering ootp, but if not, it could be possible, and i don't think that hermione is the only muggle-born student in hogwarts

The thing is Harry is remarkably like Tom Riddle...that's what makes him such an incredible anti-voldemort because he is just like him. What better to beat the enemy but by from the inside...but the fact is harry is not Tom Riddle...it was the choices he made that made him so alike, but so different from Tom Riddle. Our choices model who we are, not our destiny. Harry chose to befriend Ron Weasley, to dislike Draco from page one, and to not want to be in Slytherin. With out Gryffindor, Harry might as well be VD again...but he's not. What Harry has become is partially because of Gryffindor, but mostly because of Harry. It's all Harry's doing, and that's what makes the story so awesome...what's inside is what counts, not your lineage, not your money, and not your connections. YOU

harry is unlike tom riddle in one way : he is not the best pupil hogwarts has known ... so he may not have become VD since he is not as intelligent and maybe not as powerful

What if Harry didn't find out from ROn that Slytherin is an evil house??? He would be sorted into Slytherin wouldn't he???

I think that if Harry would have been sorted into Slytherin, that he would be considered an outcast. Draco would make fun of him and taunt him for not excepting him as a friend in the first place. As for Ron and Hermione, I think Harry would still talk to Ron, but would be in nooo way as good of friends as they are now. Hermione on the other hand, I doubt he would even talk to her. Slytherin would have had to of had an affect of some sort on Harry. He would probably treat Hermione as a muggle born.

Everything would be a lot different if Harry had been chosen to be a member of Slitherin....I'm quite sure that he wouldn't have a lot of contact with Ron and Hermione, but even like this, they would have the same thoughts anyway....now, i am sure that he would hate Draco, he just would have to stand him....'cause they would be from the same house, so they would have to support each other....

Harry couldn't be friends with Ron and Hermione. Slytherins seem to be despised by all the other houses, so inter-house friendships with gryffindors seems out of the question. Plus, Harry and Ron weren't really friends with Hermione until the Troll incident. Before that they scoffed at her for having no friends.

It was Harry's first meeting with Draco that set him against Slytherin, I think. Draco was sorted before Harry, and if Harry had hung with Draco instead of Ron he wouldn't ahve heard that Slytherin produces most of the dark wizards.

I think Draco would have been the leader of their little group with Crabbe and Goyle in tow. Harry would have been his deputy head bullyer. There would have been a reign of terror amidst the corridors.

Snape would have an interesting internal struggle though - be mean to Harry because of hi dad or be good to him because he is Slytherin.
