okay, okay, I know that the book says that the thing at the front of dubledores office is a griffon, but isn't it remarkable how much the uk adults cover looks like the outside of dumbledore's office in the CoS movie... even the background...

I mean, it's probably got nothing to do with anything, just thought I'd say!!!

Why do u guys think that US cover is better? :???:
Cause it shows more stuff? (just curious)

I think that Phoenix looks really cool. (adult addition) Sort of Scary and Mysterious. - like it makes u want to open it and see what this book is about :-)

Very good questions, Fawkes (I believe the covers represents this phoenix as being very important in teh series) sounds like cool, not scary.

The adult cover is great, but I like more the US cover (I really like blue, for example), and it seems to involve more mistery than the Phoenix with flames.

I like Fawkes :-) But that big gray statue looks scary to me :o I dont know why :)

Anyway, Neo - u think that thats Fawkes' statue? really?

Um somehow it reminded me of that "statue-elevator" that goes into Dumbledore's office. :-?

U.K. Adult Version Best

Postby joedeg3 » Friday 25 April 2003 9:08:22pm

I think that the U.S. Cover shows that the book is mysterious and perhaps thrilling.

I like the U.K. Adult Version most - for me the picturen shows the power of the Phoenix.

I didn't say that the statue is exactly Fawkes (I believe that in the child cover yes), but the adult cover is a realistic and artistic picture, so maybe in a way it is representing Fawkes (the only Phoenix we know in the serie)

Hrmmm.... okay. Now, I'm thinking that the statue looks like the one at the stairs to dumbledore's office... and the other cover shows a circular room with all the doors... dumbledore's office is circular...

what if it's the same place, and his office is the room that harry has been to but didn't realise the signifigance of *or whatever she said!!!*

Interesting possibility or what?

no, it's not the statue at the base of DD's office, because we've been told that is a gryffin, not a pheonix
