This article was posted in yesterday's edition of The Sun newspaper:

Author JK Rowling hinted last night Hermione will have a romance with Ron in the seventh and last Harry Potter book.
JK told fans in New York that Hermione would "see herself entwined with a person whose identity you can probably guess."
She also grinned when she mentioned fans who "want Ron and Hermione."
In the next Potter film - the fifth - Helena Bonham Carter, 40, will play Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange.

Ooooh go Ron/Hermione shippers! :D

how it was going i thaught that it will never happen
its about time
i thaught that she will right only a few pages about it when the battle is over
but it will happen sooner bcs probably one of them will die
i honestly hope it will be Ron

I agree. And I do believe Hermione is better for Ron than for Harry. And even if say Ron and Ginny both die, I somehow doubt Harry and Hermione will end up together.

And I do hope Harry names his first son James...I just love that name... :grin:

In one of JK Rowling's interviews, she says "Ron and Hermione, now there's some tension, not Harry and Hermione. In the sixth book, Harry wonders if Hermione would go out with Ron. So there's official proof that Harry will not date Hermione. Maybe even Ron and Hermione will date. I hope so. I am a huge Ron/Hermione shipper! But there is proof that Hermione will NOT DATE HARRY. Just read the sixth book. :P :lol: :cool: :jump:

i am hoping that she will but that probably wont happen but i dont like ron/hermione combination

haha - that would make my man happy - his name is James.

Personally I think Harry and Hermione are two fantastic friends and that's all they will ever be. Ron and Hermione however have spark, there is a passion there, stubbonness, strong wills which means they make a perfect pair.

Harry is clearly not into Hermione as otherwise we would have seen him tormenting over his feelings for her through the entire series. Personally I haven't seen that and I agree in the 6th book he wonders whether Ron and Hermione will ever sort things out between them. Personally I think Harry would rather be like Sirius was to James and Lily, on the outside of their relationship.
