Different version of the Harry/Horcrux theory

Postby sianie9 » Tuesday 30 May 2006 6:41:49pm

I've just re-read the Goblet of Fire and had an idea that's inspired me to register!

OK - the follwoing two points have been raised

1. Is Harry a Horcrux?
2. How come Voldemort didn't use a Horcrux to ressurect himself at the end of GoF?

What if... Harry was a Horcrux, and by using his blood in the flesh, blood and bone chapter, he's been 'used up' and now isn't one any more?

It occured to me because near the end when Harry is telling Dumbledore and Sirius what happened in the graveyard, he tells them that Worntail took his blood
'for a fleeting instant, Harry thought he saw a gleam of something like triumph in Dumbledore's eyes'
Triumph because he's already considering the Horcrux theory and has just realised that Voldemort has used one up??

I've thought about it and the only part that doesn't stand up as a theory is that Dumbledore didn't mention it to Harry, and made him think that there are still 4 Horcruxes to find....

Thoughts??

It could be...hmm...

Say we used the theory of having something from Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Gryffindor...
we could say that becasause Voldemort didn't get his hands on anything of Gryffindors and made Harry that Horcrux...and now that it's gone there are still 4 left...ones just not anything from Gryffindor...???

I don't know lol... I'm too tired to properly figure this out!!!

i thought he needed the blood of an enemy
and by using harry's blood he could bypass the problem of harry's protection (the one that he got when his mother died)

as to why voldemort didn't use a horcrux, do you know how hard it is get past the protective layers he placed arround them. and he's already weak. and he probably doesn't want his deatheaters about them either they might tell someone)

and to your question: is harry a horcrux? please discus this on one of the already opened threads. there is no point in opening yet another one

Yeah can someone lock this thread. I am now going to quote Selene in the "For the Last Time Harry is not a horcrux thread"

Ok, first of all, I didn't ask if Harry was a Horcrux, I merely quoted other people's questions. I personally don't think he is, but as it's a very popular question it's worth addressing.
I though this warranted a new thread as I'd read all the others (might have missed something but definately read them) and thought I'd come up with something not covered before!

So, I apologise if I offended anyone, but having your first thread closed because others disagree/don't want to read it is not a very warm welcome!

Let's face it, no-one on here knows any more than anyone else (unless J K herself is anonymously posting!) we've all read the books, many of us more than once, and everyone's opinion is equally valid. :(

Dear sianie

I don't mean to offend, really truly

It's just that another thread is actually talking about this subject as we speak, it just makes sense to merge the two.

I hope you continue to post!! :) :)

hehe!! Nah, just felt like a new name! Snow's quite handy as there's loads that can go after it so I can change my name with everyone still know who I am.

Glad you're still here - I felt really guilty!!!!!! :-( :-( Thinking back I also think I may have made that same mistake the first time I came on here  - I didn't realise it was your first posts! Not much of a welcome from me was it!

Snow!
