Audiobooks?

Which one is your favorite so far. Are they getting even better as the characters develop over time?

Audiobooks?

Postby Lupin » Thursday 12 December 2002 8:08:25pm

Does anyone own or has anyone listened to the audiobooks of all four HP books? I myself have never listened to any of them, and as they're rather expensive, am looking for some reviews before I charge ahead and purchase them. Worth the price?

Cheers,

I have wanted to listen to them. I couldn't find any at the library, but I found some LotR ones, and they were pretty good.

I absolutely adore the books on tape. Although I sometimes disagree on how the reader portrays a voice (or something of the like) of a character, they're "fantasamistic." I listen to a couple of chapters while I'm doing my homework or while I'm falling asleep.

I'd recommend them to anyone!

I also used to listen to them before falling asleep. Of course they can't be a substitution for the real books, but it's fun! The only thing I don't like is that as far as I know the last 3 audio books only exist in a Scholastic version and I own the British books, so there are some differences...

I have POA and GoF on cd and they are plainly put exceptional. The guy that reads the books has an exceptional grasp on character definition and he switches up voices well. Plus if you haven't really read into the books the reader pronounces names and places well so you remember them. I would definitly suggest purchasing them.
